    It was non means tested.
  • It had an earnings limit, you lost £2 of Children's Tax Credit for £3 of income that exceeded the basic rate income tax threshold (£29,900)
  • I sent my form in to them, recorded delivery and they received this on the 29/01 - does anyone know how long they are taking to pay out

    Thanks

Jut incase some of you don't know I phoneed the inland rev and they said the responses are massive so they have a cut off response date of the 10th April, and advised if I haven't heard then to call to chase!!!!!!
  • Called and spoke to my office today. They confirmed we did qualify, but cannot confirm the amount over the phone. I am assuming the £500 odd amount, as I earned approx £12000 that year. The said I should get a letter within the next couple of days. woohoo!

Am I right in thinking that if we haven't claimed before the january deadline we've missed the boat.

I am afraid so legra77. If you check your & the children's fathers P60's for the tax year 2002/2003 you might find you have already had it. If one of your tax codes ends something like 702H then you received it at the time that will make you feel better. :D
