  • In January we too got directed to The Entitlements Agency, believing it to be part of HMRC, very misleading! We have not heard anything back about any monies owed to us as tax credit rebate, & I've been worrying myself silly over it since, wondering why.

    Hi All
I see from the forum that a number of people have been told by HMR&C that their CTC claims for 2003 have not been received!!!
My story is that I sent off the CTC11 and supporting evidence P60s etc in November 2008. Several weeks later I phoned to find out how things were going, at this point in time I was told that my claim was on the system and that all the claims were to be sent to Leeds and that it would take months to clear the back log. In early September 09 I phoned again and was told that HMR&C had no record of my claim! I was advised to resubmit my claim with the original letter which I did. Today 17 October 09 I have received a letter from HRM&C to the effect that they have no record of my claim and as the cut off date was 31 January 09 I have missed out. I can't beleive that my claim disappeared from the system/was lost in the post. I was told that it was on the system. Your opinions/advice would be most welcome.
    Thanks

    Hi Mark,

I actually got my cheque for £1192.72 Saturday morning after submitting the application a year ago.

I had trouble with them trying to tell me that I wasnt entitled to it and also had another episode with them telling me in March this year that they had no recored of a claim.
I had kept recorded delivery papers and had all this as my proof, I dont suppose you have any of this or even a proof of phonecalls made to them since submitting the papers? That could be really helpful to you.

I also told them that if I was told I wouldnt get the money then I would be appealing against the decision, can you do this?

In the end I wrote a statement of everything I had done from submitting the first form andincluding dates times and who I spoke to during the phonecalls that were made, reference numbers from letters they had sent to me and also dates in which I had sent them letters, I also included details of p60 for that year and so on.

Hope this helps you to get the payment!
