its ok,he wasnt on the higher rate!,the rate for that year was £34,150,so if you earnt over that you would have been on the higher rate of tax!we were no where near that!!!0

has anyone got their money yet?0

I am really surprised this hasn't received more publicity and particularly if, as I understand it, the possible range of people eligible to make a claim is so wide. The deadline is looming so it really does need to be more widely publicised.
Unfortunately doesn't apply to me as I was a single parent on benefit at that time... but good luck to the rest of you. If anyone has any more info I'm sure everyone would be grateful.0 -

Where did you hear that?
It's not fake, and most people have already claimed it anyway.0 -
its definately not fake, just not very well known, if you search for the thread 'parents, does the taxman owe you money' (I think thats what it was called) there are numerous posters on there that recieved a rebate. we applied recently, and although we had already received it there are plently of people that didn't, got to be worth a stamp or a phonecall to check!:A I WILL NOT USE MY SWITCH CARD:A0

I phoned my local tax office (Bedford) about this and the woman told me to download the form CTC 11 from the HMRC website.
