Louise, they wont credit it to your Cap One account - all the payments are going back to bank accounts (well, so I've been told!).******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

I am in the same boat of 2 extra payments being taken & not showing on my a/c. I have called every day since last Tuesday & get a different story everytime.. Money will be back in your a/c Mon - NOT, o it will be Wed - NOT, now been told it will be Friday but i'm not holding by breath!! Asked to speak to manager - waited for 15min & got cut off!!
They know there was a problem why not have a dedicated number to sort it out so people dont get charges & overdrawn...0 -
thanks nickyhutch,
i know thats what they say but i will believe that when i see it, keep us updated with yours it will be a race as to who gets money back first!! lolself confessed 80's throwback:D

I tried to make a payment online this morning. After two failed attempts, which only produced a message about how they were unable to process the payment, I gave them a call. The lady I spoke to said that they couldn't process debit card payments either online or over the phone as they were upgrading their systems and moreover she couldn't tell me when they would be up and running again. She told me to make the payment by some other means, though as that might result in the payment being late she also told me that any late fees would be refunded.0

Hey guys,
I'm the same boat unfortunately. Paid my balance (£1814) in full by debit card on Sunday 28th September, thankfully its not due until 17th October but still getting a bit worried. Also I was lucky in that only 1 payment was debited.
Have sent a copy of my bank statement by recorded delivery to no avail, and spoken to customer services 5 times and received a different answer every time! Last night I asked to speak to a supervisor and spoke to a girl called Lucy who said she was the floor manager. She guranteed me that "their IT guys" had sorted everything out, and that payment would be 100% cleared in my account by close of business today. Still nothing as of yet, but will wait and see.
Has anyone else had a payment credited today?0 -

Right...So we are back to where we were over a week ago. It was broke then fixed and now it's broke again .So that probably means that another batch of folk, incl yourself, has had erroneous payments taken from your bank but not credited to your Cap 1 account ... mpr55 ChECK your bank account in the next couple of days to see . x0 -
Ok, just to follow up. I have lodged a complaint with the financial ombudsman. There Isn't much they can do as they wait 8 weeks to give capital one to sort the problem and make me happy - however I wanted to get the ball rolling. Also, the ombudsman only has there normal call centre number (which they use in case of any dispute) - I really want a number for their exec office, as they refuse to put me through.
The girl I spoke to this morning saw my notes on my case which said "payment will clear on the 10th", so to get rid of me has said I need to wait until this afternoon. I shall check my current account in a few hours, and then ring again. It has not cleared as at midday (i.e. now).
If anyone does get a direct number to their head office/exec office can you PM this to me please?0 -
