have you checked your bank account transactions by card usually show up straight away, it did on mine at least you will know if it has been taken from your account. hope its not all startignagain!!self confessed 80's throwback:D
sealed pot challenge 2009 #488 (couldnt tell you how much so far as i cant open it to count it!! )0 -
the bank account isn't showing anything but that's normal for my bank - it can sometimes take days for a debit card payment to show - I think I'll wait until the end of the week and if it hasn't come out by Monday I'll make the payment via the bank account instead0

But hasn't your online "available balance" gone down by that amount .That's the way Abbey work .The details get shown a day or two later .0 -

I tried it twice, then paid direct from my Lloyds a/c online instead. Is this the same thing you guys were getting, ie Declined, or is this somehting different? I know of no reason why my card should be declined, plenty of money available.
did you try to use your lloyds debit card by any chance, as i keep getting that "declined message", and two mates from work also cant pay with their lloyds debit cards on cap one site, for some reason cap one site doesnt seem to like lloyds debit cards (or it could be the way around) i checked on here before as i was concerned like you that was the message people were getting ref the multiple payments but apparently not they got a different message)
i now have minimum payment on dd and have to use the paper payment to pay any extra in during the month (as i am on 0% and want to pay a fixed amount each month but cap1 dd's dont give that option)
if you want to know if it has come out or has been claimed, pop into one of the branches and they can tell you how much has been "earmarked" to come out of the account - ie pending payments, they were really helpful when i had this issue last monthMFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
Thanks for that info. FYI, I'm just filling out yet another Capital One d/d form, and there is a box to fill in if you want to pay a set amount every month, so you should be able to do this! However, they've messed my d/d up 3 times so far, so who knows.0

I'm sure there is a thread re Virgin stopping fixed amount DD's .it's either full or minimum amount . You can always use the minimum oprtion to make sure that they get at least that and set up an online banking payment arrangement with your bank and pay whatever amount you want each month in addition to the DD . That lets you control how much gets paid0 -

not yet but as I said before it can take a few days (that's the one thing I hate about Alliance and Leicester) but I am keeping a close eye on it and will report back0
