Just checked my current account and I now have all my money back ! About time and I feel like celebrating  Good luck to anyone who hasn't had all of theirs back yet. I will almost certainly cancel my Cap One card soon. I can no longer trust their IT systems or foreign call centre(s).

    Ditto!

My money has just reappeared too. Numerous phone calls, typically lasting 30 mins or more. Capital One are f***ing useless.

TOP TIP ...... Speak to an accounts manager, MOAN A LOT about length of phone calls etc., and mention that you'll probably close your a/c because of this.... I did, and they credited £30 to my a/c as a gesture of goodwill.

May as well get something out of 'em!

Also, they did say that everyone should have their money back by next wednesday at latest..

    Goldfinger.

Got 10x payments refunded today. I'm still missing one more payment, however I'll wait until Monday to see if it clears before ringing.

I got a 'phone call earlier from the Exec Office of Cap 1 and it was about the secure message I had sent them . The lady seemed overwhelmed by what has happened and said that they were almost at the end of the road making refunds etc . She couldn't explain why my 2 payments had been credited to my Cap1 account when most others seemed just to have been floating around but anyway she offered to refund the money to my bank but I said just to leave it as it is only £42 and she is crediting my account with £25 which I am quite happy with .

Look guys and girls surely if Capital One has taken more than you have permitted, then this can only lead to a charge of theft...think about it, has anyone spoken to the police about it.;)

Capital One has deducted money from your account without permission, they have made interest 0n this money, so yes in my opinion it certainly is a matter for the police. it would also be a matter for the Inland Revenue.. Mmm making a Interest profit through an Error..will this be declared???? certainly would be intersting to find out.

Well you run along to your local Plod Shop and one of 2 things will happen ...well 3 maybe .
    (1) : they will fall about laughing
    (2) they will be quite polite and say it is clearly a mistake by Cap 1 ( which it is as it was NOT deliberate) and tell you " It's a Civil matter,|Sir"
    or
    (3) The Plod Shop will be shut

Oh deah you really are the lie on your belly crowd arent you, do you go for petrol and be charged twice NO, do you go shopping and get charged twice No, but you are quite happy to have twice the amount deducted from you account because of an error and then wait weeks for it to be amended.. what a muppet you are...and are you making the profit from their mistake regarding interest No..and are you bothered No..and do you think their compensation is fair YES.lol.. Mmmm how much have they made having everyones money in their account.

And after many people have complained several times that they still haven't been returned their money even though they have been promised, then yes i would most certainly report the matter to the Police.

Go lie down in a darkened room until you recover . It is NOT a matter for
the Police and similarly for the scenarios you mention above . You seem unable to accept that .
