Still nothing for me, and the promised callback never happened.
Looks like I'll be going to my solicitor tomorrow0 -
Nothing for me either.
Edit:
I've just checked my online account and I have a secure message stating the funds left Capital One on the 9th Oct. Assuming this was right at the end of the day it should be cleared into my bank account latest tomorrow morning 15th; I.e. 3 full working days later.
I won't bother ringing... what can they say? Originally I requested them to confirm what day payment was sent, what method (Bac/Chaps), to what account (i.e. confirm they have sent it to the correct account) and confirm the amount.
If it's not all settled tomorrow I'll give them a ring.0 -
Had a call from Capital One last night, and it was from a guy in their Nottingham head office. They said the payment will definitely be in my account by Wednesday. They also gave me £50 for the inconvenience, although I will have to see if this shows up on my Capital One card. However he did not say if this was to cover all costs, I am still going to bill them for the ~15 phones calls (all over 20 mins) and the interest I am being charged by my bank for bing £2500 overdrawn due to their mistake. The £50 as far as I am concerned is just compensation for the stress, and should not cover the actual cost, which so far is around £70!
Although, I am still waiting for the money to show, they have a few hours left I suppose!0 -
Ive had the same problem & paid 3 times. They now owe us £6000. which we dont know when we will be gettting back. Has anyone actually had the overpayments recredited yet??? We jsut seem to be fobbed off each time we speak to them.:mad:0

the one payment i have had returned today, is showing in my bank and the transaction is showing as just maestro, if it was a simple refund as it appears it is( this is how it shows on a shop refund if you take stuff back) shouldnt these payments have been with us long ago?? after all its just a flamin refund not that they have to track everything and cause all this upset!!!
crawley kids thats an awful big amount and they should( but are not) be doing all they can!!
i hope they get roped over the coals for this but i guess it will be sweept under the carpet just like everythign else.
another complaint letter been sent by me today complaining that they have not even had the courtesy to get in touch or reply to my last formal written complaint just ignored me as if i dont exist!!!self confessed 80's throwback:D

Now I'm not just annoyed and worried where my money has gone - I'm bored as well. Logging into my accounts every day for a sniff of cash being returned or a reply to a secure message. Going through the tedious process of getting through on the phone. Come on Capital One / HSBC / whoevers fault it is now, get a shift on with my cash. Before I die of Boredom. You will then have my wife to deal with !0

To follow on the thread, capital one took 7 unauthourised payment on the 29th Sept totalling £4450 causing me to go £840 overdrawn. I have done the normal calls to the inept call centre who can only appologize in their broken English, however appologies does not pay the bills.
I have had 2 calls from what I believe was the Nottingham offices, both promised the world and both were very unhelpful particullarly when they said I could use the credit card to pay my household bills (what a quality statement).
As of today I have received one chaps payment of £700 but I am still £3750 out of pocket. I am visiting a Solicitor tomorrow for legal advice - I will keep you informed.
