  • I pay my balance off in full each month via direct debit - have just had my fourth statement, and no notification of increase in limit yet....

I've had the card for a couple of years now (I think) so suspect this is more a reflection of the current economic climate rather than anything else.

No, think its more to do with its a sub-prime credit card that don't dish out credit limits to frequently to its high risk customers.

had my C1 card for 12 month now..

    opening limit £200
2 month later £400 and no change

although saying that i still have to use it yet.. to be honest i don't even know why i have it............ but to be fair it only took 3 days to arrive lol :j:T:rotfl::rotfl:
  • I think they started me off with £200 when I was 18. They raised it to £500 6 months later and then a year later it went to £1,100.

I have just had fourth statement and still on original limit. Is any increase notified on the statement (in which case i havent received one) or do Capital One write separately and increase it after the statement has been issued?

I found out, as I happened to log onto my account, and thought there was an error:rotfl:. Called them up, and she said they had increased my limit. I got a letter in the post a week later confirming it.:j
  • I started of at £250 some 4 years ago rising steadily and now just had an increase to £3k, funny as I thought max was £2.5K
  • I started with £100, after my fourth statement it went to £200 and about a year later it went to £800.

Just had my 4th statement, limit unchanged. Balance paid off in full every month, never over the limit etc etc.

Why are they going to increase your limit if your paying in full and not earning them anything..
