Hi pinkgem. Do you have a business account? Mine has a legal helpline so if you have then it might just be as well giving them a call. They might be able to advise because he is ruining your business repuation so you might be able to send him a letter or sue him. It might be worth buying the goods with another ID though so that you get all of his details if you are going to do this.

yes just a few pence as it is an auction with a low start, but then when it is removed he keeps getting a refund of the listing fee

Pinkgem, he will only get removed a set amount of times and then he will be banned, he will run out of addresses sooner or later but find out if there is someone who cna help you legally. Maybe see if you can find a forum that has solicitors to help people on it.

i am registered on ebay as a business seller yes, or do you mean a business bank account? i have one of those too, but not sure if there is a legal helpline. i will have to look in to it.

i've already got his details (name, address etc) as he bought the item from me originally, about a month ago.

i have phoned ebay to tell them what is happening, and i did say if they won't do anything about it then i will get my solicitor involved (i won't as it seems a bit ott, i just said it to ebay try and get them to do something) because the allegations he is making and publishing on his listing are completely false and i can prove that.

he has a few of his own listings for sale and as much i would love to buy them all and leave him a load of negatives, i would never actually do that as it is against ebay rules, would risk my accounts and i don't want to stoop to his level.

i have done nothing wrong, i've not sold counterfeit goods, broken or bent any rules, or played any silly games unlike him. he has even left a follow up the positive feedback he left me, but i have not bothered to respond to it or leave a follow up to the one i left for him. i did report his follow up but ebay failed to remove it.

this is all just getting quite ridiculous. i was hoping he would just drop it after he lost the paypal dispute, i was planning on ignoring all further correspondence from him, but i'm afraid i can't ignore what he is doing at the moment as he is trying to lose me sales.

his ebay scam id listing has just reappeared in another category now, stating that he has nothing to do with the user with the similar id

He sounds like a fruitcake! Clearly thought he could get his money back and free stuff, why did he not say that the goods were faulty then? Something not quite right to be honest.

I'd find out where you stand legally, see if you can get a letter sent to him, yes, it isfar from ideal but if he is ruining your business then you have to think of a way to address that.

I mean a business bank account because they sometimes have 'add on' services. Mine has a free legal helpline for stuff like this so I can take advice on what to do. Keep us posted on what happens won't you.

I did not mean for you to buy stuff to ruin his auctions, I meant that you should buy something so you had the name and address details to send the letter. I forgot he had already bought from you. Doh!!

oh there is definitely something not quite right! it's actually a womens item but he bought it for himself!

it's ok i realised you didn't mean for me to auction wreck, i was just saying i'd like to do it but never actually would!

i will keep you updated, but for the moment i think it will be going something like this - auction removed, auction relisted, auction removed, auction relisted...

well ebay have just phoned me back for the 2nd time today and have told me what to report it as, she said just keep reporting the listings and he will get suspended eventually.

unfortunately his new id which is my name and the words ebay scam is apparently not breaking any ebay rules though!?

That's crazy how many times do you have to keep reporting them before something gets done.

They should just suspend his accounts now and have done with it.

Might make them think twice about being such a plank next time although in this case maybe not.
