So many posts, yet so little of value to say...

It's a regular trick that people will try to get supplier details. If he seriously has a problem with the item, ask him either to go down the Paypal route, or to take it up with the manufacturer direct.
Let the manufacturer decide if it is fake or not, and then you can deal direct with them, and you can tell them who supplied you the goods.
It is not the place of a vigilante buyer to try to right the wrongs as they see it, so ask them to make their choice - paypal dispute, or make an offiicial complaint to the manufacturer. Confirm to them that you will co-operate fully in either circumstance as you have nothing to hide.
Edit - And don't forget to report the auction intereference either. ebay take it quite seriously, as it ultimately affects their earnings!!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Well we all have to start somewhere.
Just tell me what have you added to this thread that will assist the OP at the point in havig a go at me? Or is one not allowed to ask that with less than 2000 posts?
This forum appears one of lets agree with the OP (if they have enough posts) or simply state what the majority want to hear.0 -
i have reported him for transaction interference as soon as he had told me what he did.
i have told him i am happy to provide paypal with my supplier details and copies of my invoices etc, but that it would be down to him to prove that the item is fake and he would need proof from the manufacturer.
it seems he wants to go down the paypal dispute route, although no longer seems to be complaining that the item is fake, just that it is faulty now.0 -

Are you authorised to resell maintaining the manufacturers warranty?0 -
I would email him back and explain that his contract is with you, not your supplier. As such, you are unable to give out details of your supplier to your buyers. You are willing, however, to give out such details directly to the manufacturer. If he's not happy with the product, you are willing to refund him for it once you have received the item back. You are also willing to take up the issue on his behalf with your supplier and he manufacturer. If you want an analogy, explain that a customer can't walk into Tesco and demand to be told who supplies their tesco value cornflakes. Tesco won't divulge that information, as it is not in Tesco's best interest to do so.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.
