Are the authorised sellers of the product having a similar problem?

    Are blue eyed people?

    Or people with one leg?

Or people with self esteem issues?

Or people who can gurgle Danny Boy?

    Who knows?

You appear to be making the assumption that the OP is somehow not authorised to sell whatever they are selling, and then acting on this assumption as though it were fact.

I want to sell my ford escort. How do I contact Ford to become a reseller? What happens if they wont let me become a reseller, what do I do with my car?

Tell the buyer to put up or shut up. Tell him/her you will no longer deal direct with them and that they must open a dispute. As for Jokey666, not got a clue where there are coming from, and me thinks they havnt either.

Soolin, do you remember a big case a few years ago regards Levis and the grey market. Levis said that any levis bought outside of europe to be sold in europe were fake, even though they made them.

To sell a secondhand car no, your being stupid. You tell me though, how easy will it be to sey your self up as a Ford dealer in your home town, with the full backing of Ford and in direct competition to the current one?

Not being stupid, just taking the ......... If I want to get a ford car and sell it for a profit then Ford cant stop me, which is how independants/dealers work, I am assuming you know this. The op has sold an item, the buyer wants details of the op's supplier. He has no right to the details of the supplier, has he?

You're telling me all sellers are on the level?

Next you'll be telling me about Santa.

In what area, selling fakes? The market for where that is an issue is pretty limited anyway.

....and why is ebay any different to anywhere else?

And the fact is you cannot succeed long term without playing by the (most) rules.

I never brought levis into the thread. However if the manufacture of the myster product took the same view then the OP would loose.

    Lose what?

This thread is about whether someone should hand out their supplier's info to their customers.

The answer is no, they should not.

That you take apparent glee in assuming the OP is getting their comeuppance for some offence which probably exists solely in your imagination is very much your problem.

Read ebays policy on fake goods.

    Thats if you can read.

Considering the original poster has already said they are happy for the buyer to get in touch with the manufacturer why are you banging on about fake goods?

Yes, if there was a court case in which the goods in question were found to be fake unless they were purchased directly from the manufacturer, then the OP would lose a PayPal claim.

You're getting even more irrelevant though, which is quite something.
