Hi everyone
I am still about :hello:
After starting work and having to do full time for the last week and learning new things, when I haven't been working for 6 months it has come as a bit of a shock to the system. Today I start my normal hours of afternoons only.
Last weekend was a washout as I spent the whole time looking for a jacket to go with a dress I have to wear to a wedding, didn't find one though. Another project for this weekend!
HW has been done as and when but now I'm doing afternoons hopefully I can get organised again.
(((huggs))) for anyone who needs them and Hi to newbies I have missed
Have a good day xxxxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Well update on my tummy problems, they now think something is twisted or blocked so MRI scan is needed, little bit scared about that...going into the tunnel thing sounds scary, anyone had one before?
Still in so much pain and feel guilty that i promised my little brother a big takeaway night and we haven't been able to have it yet, but I just can't eat the damn food as much as I would love too. Mum keeps telling me not to feel bad, but I just can't help it!
Work are being quite understanding and I'm in the process of sending my teaching application off, just got to get my references sorted and finish my personal statement, my friends are hopefully coming to see me next week so that will cheer me up I hope!
Hopefully making some potpourri today!
It's very misty here this morning and very cold, hope it's sunnier for others!
Take care and have a lovely day
Jo

Morning Guys!
Hope everyone is well.
Smokey-Thats great about the taxi and enjoy your 2 weeks off. Dont do toooo much though. Hugs xx
Not feeling too good again this morning and had a rough night. OH sat up with me for a while as I felt very nausous (sp) after taking some of my meds last night, but after an anti-sick tablet it settled.
Twink was chatting on MSN yesterday and I think I may have confused people:o ...I have an appointment with my surgeon next Friday about the Hysterectomy and not having it next Friday:eek:     ...we need to go through risks and other factors we need to take into consideration and a date when all my consultants will be on call incase there are any problems.
Welcome to all the newbies:D
Off to my sisters later which should be fun:rolleyes: ....looking forward to seeing my niece and nephew, just NOT the new BF. I am going armed with some leaflets from the Building Society to see whether she has thought about investing some of the money she has left from the divorce. If the BF starts to interfer (sp)...Im just going to tell him to BUTT OUT!!...Ive been her sister for 31years:rotfl:
Our friend came back from NY yesterday morning so came round in the afternoon and ended up staying for dinner. He got everything on the shopping list I gave him:j :j :j :j :j ...I didnt ask for the LV purse in the end and I'll wait till next year. So I have Skippy Peanut Butter x 2, Jello x 3, A1 Sauces x 2, Aunt Jemima Huge Butter Syrup and pancakes, Poptarts, Lots of Beef Jery (disgusting but OH likes it), Twizzlers 1lb bag, Betty Crocker Cake mixes x 3, 3 x Steak/BBQ sauces, Dove Deodrnats x 4, Viatmin E Cream Pump, Toothpaste, Mac & Cheese x 5 and some other bits which I cant remember. All that lot was £30.....BARGAIN!!
Anyway, I am rambling again....sorry!
Take Care and have a great weekend.

mioliere, I hate gory films too! I usually avoid anything which I even think might be gory, they make me feel sick and the images stay with me for ages. Also, what is impossible pie? It sounds interesting!
pipkin, thanks for all the info on the npower deal, I will definitely be looking into that as npower want to increase our direct debit to £60 a month! A bit high for a 2 bedroomed house with 2 adults I think - we haven't even turned the heating on yet so worried how much it will increase when LO arrives!
I feel very silly this morning because I woke up and it was freezing, foggy outside, I thought oh good, I can have some lovely porridge to warm me up. But our ex lodger when he moved out seems to have taken MY packet of oats (which was almost full) and left me HIS packet of oats, which has about a tablespoon's worth left in the bottom! He did this with all the herbs as well but I wasn't quite as miffed about those since he had bought most of them. So I got all upset about not being able to use up the milk (pregnancy hormones!) and had to make myself a cup of green & blacks' hot chocolate to curl up and read the thread with. Also, out of my NCT group 5 babies have now been born, and the one other lady who is left apart from me was due on about the 20th I think so I look like I'm going to be the last one! Everyone has had boys as well which is funny.
Talking of the ex lodger, his room still smells. (I made a post the other day asking for tips.) I haven't got round to trying the bicarbonate of soda on the mattress yet either because there is a TV, pushchair, baby bouncer and box of nappies in the way. I have a feeling it's going to get left until we can't stand having baby in our room any longer and we are forced to sort it out!
So feeling a bit grumpy and sore today. Spare hugs gratefully recieved and passed on!I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -
:hello: Good morning all!
I haven't posted for a few days but have managed to skim the threads apart from Wednesday's. Can't remember what people have said though, apart from a few
Mioliere - We saw Hostel was going to be on, so watched "Without a Trace" instead!
Celyn - :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: at the camera trained on the test card! Hope you get some sleep in the very near future!
betheebee - so glad to hear Ben is doing well. I'm not surprised you've been ill, you must be very tired and run down after all that's happened - nice to know your DD was thrilled with the makover!((((HUGS))))
Meanmarie - I'm sure Ulick will come on in leaps and bounds now he's in the Stroke Unit.((((HUGS))))
bootsalebabe - your club sounds great fun, talking of which, I hope your OH's hand is better now
daisychain - Welcome! and you don't sound weird in the least
smokybabe - I haven't caught up with last night's thread yet but I gather you're going to redo your bedroom - it sounds a good idea, but try not to do too much (((HUGS)))
Stefejb - I bet your DGS will have a lovely time at school today, bless him. He sounds like my DD2 - she couldn't wait to get there and enjoyed school life all the way through.
So sorry, can't remember any more! but sending ((((((HUGS)))) to the many people who need them, and :j to anyone celebrating today.

My cold is much better but has left me full of catarrh, so the pharmacist has suggested taking Sudafed regularly for another four days. if that doesn't sort it out I suppose I'll have to go to the doctor
DH and I will be going over to DD2's at some point today to help entertain the troops - She has had the lurgy and thinks she's got tonsillitis, which she's prone to - the last twice she's been to the doc about it they've said that they prefer to avoid giving antibiotics for tonsillitis and would like her to try fighting it off without. But she has a baby and a toddler to look after, and is meant to be going to work looking after sick children, so she really needs to get better asap! DGS has had high temp and bad cough, but she says he's his usual cheerful self and when she asked if he wanted to go to nursery yesterday (he got the germs from there in the first place:p) he yelled "YEAH!" and jumped up and down joyfully
Poor DGD has had bronchitis, but thankfully is much better now. The doc prescribed antibiotics and an inhaler for her, but she hated the mask over her mouth and nose so much that DD had to give up with that.
which reminds me -Charliesmum, your DGD sounds just like mine except that yours has more teeth
All for now, off to catch up with last night's thread then DH and I are going to the optician's to choose him some new glasses
Best wishes

Hester - hope work is better today, hope ww3 is coming to its conclusion! dd1 is back at school today, I was peeved as really there wasn't much wrong with her ankle at all, and the school nurse was there but didn't look at it! One of the ladies in the office was left to deal with it, made me think of you actually! She was very apologetic, but as you said she actually wasn't allowed to do anything, but I am cross about the nurse not even bothering to look - dd said she was having a tea break, hmmm!
Sybil - good luck with your trip into town later, hope that you do manage to make it x
Pippa - glad your mum is on the mend.
Scuzz - hope your nan's ok now and that you know what caused her turn.
Lamewolf - good luck at the clinic today, hope the visit is worthwhile
Well dd3 is now practising her driving skills on Mario Kart - don't think I fancy teaching her to drive, ever, having seen her now! Most jobs done and now need to get myself into town, forgot I need to take a pressie with me for my friend tomorrow, it was her birthday last week, but didn't want to post a pressie as I knew I was going to see her.
Best hop in the shower, and do something to stop my hair scaring people!
Heidiboo - welcome and well done on all your cooking, it's amazing what you can achieve with a little bit of know how (and I should know, cos I only have a little bit lol!)GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
