Just checked and mine has been cancelled on tuesday0

Other than complaining to Tescos that they're being rude by not telling you, I don't think there's much that you can do unless they've taken money out of your account or credit card.0

All we can do is wait for it not to arrive then complain bitterly. And they'll tell us to get stuffed. Other than that, move on to the next bargain. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

I would be very surprised if you receive this wine order. I checked my account today, and mine (due tomorrow) was cancelled yesterday, too. As I need the wine for Friday, I rang to see what was going on. Answer no.1: It's a technical problem, and the wine IS coming. Answer no.2: It may be coming, but you had better buy some more wine just in case!!!! (My personal favourite, this one). Answer no.3: (After consultation with superior) Wine is out of stock and won't be coming. I was prepared for this one - wine is still showing on same page (went through my history) but, surprise, surprise, now only 6 bottles for the same price. Answer to this: It may be showing as in stock, but there is a delay between the warehouse and delivery points.
All of which, roughly translated, means: YES, WE HAVE GOT THE WINE, BUT YOU'RE NOT HAVING IT AT THAT PRICE.
I asked the (very sweet) person at Customer Services if it had been a misprice, hence the cancelled order, but she assured me this was not the case (she even went off to check this), and that these special offers run out very quickly. So quickly, I suspect, that no-one actually got the wine.
Oh, and they would have phoned me tomorrow to let me know the order wasn't coming. Very helpful.
I will be writing. I know they're not obliged to sell me the wine at that price, but they surely have a responsibility to keep us informed.
I would be interested to see how anyone else gets on with this.0 -
Why do we not all "band together " and contact trading standards - the wine was clearly advertised as £2 abottle and 12 bottles in a case. We bought it in good faith and had it confirmed and a delivery slot booked."This site is addictive!"

Except we hadn't bought it - we'd just placed an order, which they refused to complete. Absolutely nothing you can do except write to Sir Terry Leahy and tell him what you think. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Has everyone had orders cancelled cos ours is still ongoing according to Tesco site though we weren't due delivery until Friday?0
-
hmm, just looked and yes my order has been cancelled too. No notification, no apology, no concern whatsoever I suspect.
I would say I was one of the very first to order this and it was definitely in stock (and was still showing as in stock several hours later) so I think we all know that this hasn't been cancelled due to lack of stock.
It's the giant Tesco behaving in the manner that only such an arrogant company can. They'll do just whatever they like because they can, the customer is incidental and an irritation, a necessary evil to be endured in their pursuit of superpower.
This kind of behaviour just adds to the contempt that I have for Tesco already.
Ok, on to the next bargain - and pray that it doesn't involve Tesco in any way0 -

According to the girl at CS they "work their way through" calling customers in order of delivery times, so yours will probably be cancelled after ours. Please let us know if you receive the wine, though.0
