Will post some better pics at the weekend once TV is set up in my room

I ordered ity about 6pm on Friday evening and it was released to the courier Sunday and delivered this afternoon about 2pm so delivery was speedy.

Brodel - just out of interest are you getting Dell to pay the difference as if you are then just email the PDF sales invoice to Gillian @ Dell and she will set your refund in process rather than sending it through the xmas post as she told me my refund is in process and should show on my credit card within 10-14 days

oh ok, fingers crossed I'll get it before Christmas then.

Yea, I'm getting a refund from dell, thanks for the tip about emailing the PDF.


edit: is it my eyes or some kind of optical illusion that makes your photo look as if the silver surround slightly dips on the top?

Hopefully you should receive it by Friday at the latest, tring to get an xbox 360 to connect the TV to now

Forgot to mention my TV was version "REV03" but upto now there is no hissing coming from the speakers unlike reported earlier and there is no damage to the speakers as some reports said that they were dinted.

I emailed my receipt yesterday about 17:30 and got a reply by 17:45 with my reference number for my refund so at least Dell are pulling their finger out on the refunds (I hope)

Photo was taken pointed downwards so this may account for the dip in the centre unless the camera on my phone is a bit weird

Can I clear something up, I missed out of the DELL 26" offer and have been offered a £75 voucher but still waiting.

If I buy a TV from Aria for £539 I can then claim a £150 refund from dell. Is this right and what do I do to get this??

Email Gillian at Dell (email address earlier in the thread) and tell her that you are not satisifed with the £75 voucher and tell her you want the offer where Dell will pay the difference of upto £150 on the same TV from another company.

Once you get confirmation from Dell to say they will honour the deal go ahead and buy the Tv from Aria, once order has been accepted you can go into your aria account and email the PDF sales invoice to Gillian at Dell and she should set the wheels in motion for your refund.

If you get stuck on anthying as am sure others including myself will be around to offer any advice on how the situation was dealt with

does not have to be the same TV but of similar spec. so giving a broader choice, however the PQ on the W2600 and build is great. Doubt you would get similar for around the £500 mark

Quick Update on Monday's angry mail to Dell.
It got into Kevin Rollins inbox (no.2 after Michael Dell) - result!
Sadly he did not read it, but it was autoforwarded to Ron Robbins - presumably his PA.
By this time it was after 6pm in the UK.
Noon yesterday Ami Fitzpatrick (UK) called me [Ami_Fitzpatrick@Dell.com]. We had a robust conversation. Nothing offered more than vouchers but she is making sure there is not a problem with mine (still haven't arrived). She admitted this situation has not gone well for Dell and its customers and they are investigating the allegations made by people in India about credit card payment problems. To be fair the apparent lie about transferring calls from India to Ireland may be more a misunderstanding.
If the Americans at the top of Dell didn't know what was going on already, they do now. Will await the vouchers for a few days. In the mean time I'll have a chat with a good friend about a prospective 8 figure contract between Dell and a global insurance company (he works on the insurer's key IT Suppliers/contracts) - maybe HP or IBM could offer similar kit....

Order it from the Specials section of aria and you can get it for £512.53 inc delivery
