psychy wrote:ooohh....that sounds like a better alternative!!
May i ask who you spoke to? And how do you think i can proceed to get this offer too??
What other sets were you offered? I was only offered a refurb of the W2600...
Thanks
Not wanting to goose my deal I'd rather not say, but just make sure you keep speaking to them and refusing the refurb + £75 deal. Eventually you will be put in contact with a manager who will look at other options. I was asked to give them a list of alternative sets I would be happy with, they then sent back a list of completely different ones that they were prepared to offer:

I just aksed for a refund to the value of the last one delivered.0 -
It was the manager who gave me the option of a refurb+£75 or a refund....

In my experience they are just MISS. Having been assured 3 times that the refurbs should be 'as new, perfect' I proceeded to recieve 3 sets all in a condition no where near acceptable both in terms of functionality and aesthetics.
And Dells service is absolutely shocking. They expect you do do the chasing around. It took several phone calls to Dell to get anywhere and it was only when I provided evidence they were lying through their teeth that I was granted the offers others were getting from the start.
They have dragged out my situation for 2 months now and SURPRISE, SURPRISE missed my refund date yesterday (14th of the 10-14 days) and can't tell me anything as to when it will be paid.
I've not raised my voice or even given an angry tone in any of my correspondence with them but I'm so close to just screaming at someone.
Once again I've had to go to the top. I hope to get a response tomorrow.
AVOID DELL AT ALL COSTS0 -
I keep getting a offer of the cost refunded plus £75 cash.
Good, but not good enough IMO. I was prepared to accept the "Cash plus up to £150 cashback for a similar TV) but I am not wishing to buy another LCD at the moment after all this carry on, so I asked if the offer would remain 'unlimited' but the woman at Dell said it was not 'unlimited' so I had to make my mind up.
Now going to inform them I will be seeking further advice with my Trading Standards office before making a conclusion. Why should I only get around £438 when if I purchased a new TV and claimed the cash back I would be getting at least £500!0 -
Just in case anyone is still looking...
My horrendous experience trying to get something from Dell after ordering W2600 x1, W1900 x2 ultimately yielded Vouchers for £75, £50 and £50 plus a £150 VISA Credit  . This all took ages, but they do stump up if pressed hard. I can put you in touch with the lady that helped me at Dell if you are still looking for satisfaction.
BTW now own:
- Samsung 940MW 19" TV/Monitor (VGA, component 576p from DVD and RGB Scart all awesome, svideo poor (who cares?))
- Samsung LE-27T51 (Very Good with all inputs, rocks on Gamecube and Dreamcast via RGB scart)0
