  • The hiss from my set got worse and worse.

Just outside of the 21 day rule and was offered a refurb, I rejected the refurb and have got a full refund.

No extra sweetners, but happy it's going back.

So, am I understanding this correctly ?

    Zippy gets a full refund plus £120 plus a £75 voucher ? Yes ?

Slowen is expecting £150 cash chargeback ? (on top of a previous full refund ?) Correct ?

Have either of you physically had a W2600 TV in your possession from Dell ?

Apologies if it's blatantly obvious from previous postings of yours but I'm following approximately six threads on four sites over this TV.

    Cheers,
    Mike.

    Hi Flimber,

I have not checked the thread until today as I thought it would have gone dead by now

I did not get a refund from Dell as they never took money from my credit card but I sourced a TV from Aria Technology which cost £514 and just checked my credit card and I received a payment of £150 yesterday so it worked out I paid £364 for the TV.

I find it hard to find that "Zippy" is getting £120 refund plus a £75 voucher without even showing proof of purchase, I could be wrong but Dell are asking for proof of purchase

Anyone who's having any kind of refund had theirs yet? I got my reference # on the 3rd, so I won't see anything until the 13th at the earliest if the 10-14days is accurate

My refund came through ok, think it took about 11 working days to get onto my credit card. If your refund does not go back on after 14 days I would email Gillian Larkin at Dell to see what is happening.

Did the TV have to arrive at Dell before they sorted out the refund?

No, I sent my online sales invoice from Aria to Gillian at Dell once order was processed so I could start my refund off as quick as possible

I didn't ever recieve a TV, in fact money was never taken from my bank- it appeared to just be frozen- but i still recieved £119 cash (without ever purchasing another TV) under 'lob' and i got a £75 voucher which i've used. I also recieved a letter of apology from Josh Claman. If you go about things in the correct way and make the right people accountable stuff works out.
funny thing is though, the order i used the voucher on has just been discountined too so i'm having the same trouble as before. stupid dell.
    regards,
    Zippy.

Well, my LCD seems to playing up too. The right half of the screen goes green sometimes....but very randomly.

I call Dell regarding a exchange, but since they dont have any new ones left, all they can offer me is:
    a) a refund
    b) a refurb + £75 back to my credit card

I'm thinking of going for the refurb + £75....but from posts above, refurbs are a bit hit and miss. My LCD is perfect besides this fault....which rarely occurs. Don't fancy a refurb which might be cosmettically scratched or dead pixels etc.

    What do you peeps recommend??

  • They are taking my 26" TV back and refunding me £593 so I can buy another set. I don't have to provide a receipt as I didn't want any of the sets they offered (I just asked for a refund to the amount of the most expensive set offered). I had to threaten legal action before I got anywhere, as soon as I mentionedthe courts they did speed up their responses ;)

May i ask who you spoke to? And how do you think i can proceed to get this offer too??

What other sets were you offered? I was only offered a refurb of the W2600...

    Thanks
