I emailled Gillian Larkin this morning regarding getting the difference back. I bought a W2600 from scan for £526. I had no response but I rang her and she said if I sent in the scan receipt they would refund the difference upto £150. I still haven't had an email from her, but my email seems to be down at the moment anyway.
Will keep you informed of my progress.
Thanks Owey :beer:0 -

figers crossed they will refund me the difference
Did you email Gillian as she gets back to you very quick and I have just ordered the TV from https://www.aria.co.uk and they only have four left.
All you have to do is send your receipt off and they will give you the difference upto £150 but it is better that you get an email from Dell to clarify the situation in case you ever nned to refer back to emails from them0 -

I was just checking arias return policy incase I am not satissfied with the TV. It seems that they only refund you with credit notes that have to be spent within 6 months. Is this set in stone, is there no way you could get cashback? If not, I don't think I'm going to risk the purchase.Non-faulty items returned to our premises complete in the original packaging together with manuals and software disks within 7 working days of purchase may obtain a credit note. Goods must be sellable as new in order to qualify for a credit note. All software must be unused and sealed within the original packaging. Outside of 7 working days, non faulty items will not be exchanged or a credit note offered under any circumstances. Full refunds will not be considered if the goods are damaged in any way and seals broken invalidating any warranty.0

If you don't like it you can return it under distance selling regulations. Those terms and conditions are more for company purchases rather than private consumer purchases (where you legal rights are greater).0 -

oh really? I was confused becase the point before the one I posted was..If the buyer properly rejects any of the goods in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations within 7 working days in writing, the buyer shall nonetheless be responsible for the return cost of the goods.
so I assumed it was a follow on to that?0 -

The TV i was refering to was the 27" from Microdirect:
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=11409&GroupID=422
Although i haven't yet bought one they're refunding me the difference anyway. I kicked up too big a fuss and tied in all their relevant VP's from the start so they want me off their back asap.0 -
My TV is ready to be dispatched from Aria so my receipt will be winging it's way to Dell for them to pay the extra £150 it cost me to purchase from Aria
Pity Dell could not supply the TV with the ease of ordering from Aria
Will post my thoughts on the TV when it arrives0 -
im waiting for a formal letter before i make my purchase, don't trust dell anymore until it's in writing0
