Anyone heard anything or is there any sign of improvement on them delivering? I'm close to clicking buy on a regular CRT.

I have emailed all the email addresses apart from the individual staff and got a replt from uki_olos_queries@dell.com this morning and it looks like they will only offer you £75 voucher off another purchase if you bought the 26" and £50 voucher if you bought the 19".

Here is the responce I got but am not giving up that easily as why did they check for funds and change my delivery date 3 times if there were no TV's

    Dear Sir,

I am mailing from Dell in relation to your 19"/26" LCD TV (choose correct item) order which you placed last week. It was a great value offer which was subject to availability.
For a very limited period from the 29th to 30th November, due a technical error a number of 19"/26" LCD TV orders were confirmed in error. Unfortunately due to the unprecedented demand for the offer combined with this technical error, at the point that your order was confirmed we were no longer in a position to supply you with a 19"/26" TV.
As the product is End of Line we are not in a position to provide a replacement. The error was quickly identified and rectified but we regret that we are not now in a position to deliver the TV model which you ordered from us.
We are happy to provide you with a full refund if monies have been taken from your account together with a gesture of goodwill of
19" Customers: £50 or EUR75 voucher towards another purchase
26" Customers: £75 or EUR110 voucher towards another purchase
on our part. We will begin the refunding process as soon as possible but please be aware that it may take up to 7 days for your voucher to reach you. We would be happy to discuss other purchase options with you.
We sincerely regret this error and apologise to you for any confusion caused.

That sounds like b/s if you ask me. If the offer was only open from the 29th and the 30th, how was I able to make an order on the 28th AND have a dell rep call me to confirm the credit card details?

Think they will see how many people take the voucher off them just to get rid of the people that have ordered the TV's, lets be honest a voucher for £75 off your next purchase is an insult as it means to use the voucher you need to spend more money and I for one wont be using Dell again. I don't know why they have a "customer care" department as customer and care don't seem to mean anything to Dell

Well since I ordered on 24 November and it was confirmed on that date, sounds as if they have just shot themselves in the foot with that email. Will be interesting to see how they respond.

Were there any restrictions on the voucher that you know of? Is there a minimum spend or it being restricted to TV's or can you just get what you like?
Not that I want to accept it, but there are a few nice things around that mark on the Dell site.

They only said about the voucher and did not mention any restrictions for what it can be used for, I would presume you can use it against anything on the Dell site and it should have no minimum spend but then again it's Dell so we will have to wait and see. If they don't budge any futher I would just buy something with the voucher and sell it on as I don't want the Dell brand in my home.
good job they dont have a slogan like "Dell the company you can trust" as I think I would wet myself then phone them up and complain for misleading customers.

I wonder how much revenue they have created from all the customers that have phoned their call centre on numerous occasions so Dell are the outright winners and have made money

Lets all keep pushing for a better deal and dont settle for the insulting £75 voucher as if anything I am appalled by the lack of communication on their part and the non existant customer service

Yea, agreed. I just sent another email regarding the 29th-30th dates that you were told about.
As for the phone numbers, I hope you've been using the https://www.saynoto0870.com numbers. :)

Yep I used the 01344 860 456 rather than the 0870 numbers as they must be making a few quid out of all the calls as it is

No wonder on the adverts it says "Dell cannot be bought in the shops" this is probably becuase there customer service is aweful and you would just go back the shop and cause hell but the only way to contact them is by email and nearly all the time you just get an automated responce or phone them up and this costs the consumer money.

Surely Dell must be getting loads of complaints by email as they should be giving us personalised emails rather than automatic ones so this shows that there is a big problem

Ive just emailed the Mirror newspaper at investigate@mirror.co.uk or you can phone 02072933572. We have got to get someone to take notice, so the more places we get in contact with the better.
