  • I placed my order on their website and they called me within 10 minutes of placing the order to confirm my address and card details. Technical website fault my backside.

    Ay Up the *dark*one! On what date did you place the order? Do we know if it was before during or after their p1ss poor flaky "technical fault" excuse.
    It's nothing to do with technical faults, it is incompetence at least and (alleged)fraud at worse.
    Fraudulantly gaining orders they know they can not fulfil and taking peoples cash and/or taking the orders then giving the units to discount resellers and people who had probs with the 19" LCD TVs instead.

    Apologies, i'm grinding me axe for the no show of me TV today! I will go and sit in the corner, take a prozac and count to ten.....then go and get a route planned for Bracknell and collect me chainsaw on the way!

    What surprised me is that despite all the complaints avforums still has an add/link for "Dell LCD TV"!!

    Contact from Dell India by E-Mail, telling me they are cancelling my order and refunding me my cash!

    Replied back along the lines of thanks but no thanks. Supply the TV as per the contract when you have new stock or supply a product of at least equivalent functionality and performance
    If you do not have authorization to do this, refer this matter to somebody who has.

    Even given the language issues I can not be any clearer than that?

    Well I ordered on the evening of the 28th, have been patient ever since - not phoned dell once and mine turned up today (well my girlfriends office so I havent seen it with my own eyes yet).

    Pretty much the same here. Ordered the same day, been patient but nothing has turned up. I have not telephoned them or E-mailed them. I have gone along with their system. Today at 1700Hrs was the deadline they imposed on me. If it hasn't turned up then they told me I will not get one.

    My second replacement is a refurb (!) It's got marks all over the casing. Phoned up, gave the Tag Number and it came up as a company based in the Bahamas. Nice. I'm now on the 'ownership program' waiting for my fourth telly...

    I was told that an update will be made available by close of business tonight but whether or not that will be communicated to all customers I don't know.

  • I have just this second come off the phone from Dell as mine is hissing and they gave me 3 options, refund, refurb or a new one when they come back in stock.
    I asked if they are defo coming back in stock and he said yes but they dont know when.
    I asked what happens if after 30 days there is no new stock will I then be offered a refurb instead of new and they said no as I have already logged the fault.
    This to me could mean after 30 days I only get one option, a refund as I have already turned down the refurb.

    I wont hold my breath.
