They are probably out of stock as the people that have had their Dell LCD cancelled have ordered one from ebuyer even though they are just over £100 more expensive0 -

Either that or they have been forced to buy back their own tv's in order to fulfill customer orders!
personally i think we have a very strong case. Their terms and conditions are laid out in black and white and i dont see how they can legally wriggle out of them, even if they do the backlash from irate customers will be very damaging to them.
All we want is the tv we have ordered and entered into a contract for Dell to supply.0 -

From what the "customer care" guy said there was a few hundred people that have been stuffed and not received a TV. From the Dell T&C's it says that once order is confirmed this is a legally binding contract but they are telling people the orders are cancelled, I wonder the more you push and stand firm the more chance of getting a result rather than jusk admitting defeat and letting Dell cancel order and you getting nothing.
If I have not received a phone call by 12pm tomorrow I will be phoning them up to see what is going on and won't take it lying down if they try and fobb me off0 -
Hi All
My Friday deadline is fast approaching and Dell have not cancelled my order -yet! I have specifically intstructed them not to cancel the order unless they have written instruction to do so from me. Given the previous comments on here about Dell customer service I suspect this will make no difference at all.
It is a shame we not find the E-Mail addresses of Michael Dell and Kevin Rollins. We could publish it on here and then send them an E-Mail or two. I do not suspect that they read their own E-Mail but it would be another avenue to explore or form of attack.
Does anybody know who was supposed to be attending this meeting, their names and their roles within the Dell organization?
When my Friday deadline has expired I will be contacting Dell by E-Mail. Judging by everybody's comments telephoning them is a waste of time.
I am in no rush to get the TV so I will take my time. I will even wait for new stock(!) or a new 26" version. I will not back down unless Dell make me an offer I can not refuse. In my view Dell have set a precedent with the 19" LCD fiasco. They supplied 26" LCD as a replacement, probably ours!
Keep up the good work and don't let them grind you down!Never ever pay full price for anything and question everything at least twice!0 -
As well as Watchdog, Trading Standards etc has anybody informed these chaps:

how many people who ordered the 19 inch model got an upgrade to the 26 inch then
i manged to get a 26 inch which is defective and god knows wat they gonna do about a replacement as they have no stock but they have told me they stock issue is over and there are loads in manufacture
you just never know what to believeA penny saved is something else for the wife to spend !!!0 -
Hi goldenbolux, a bit of a kick in the testicles that one isn't it? Allegedly give "ours" away then say they have no stock! I have no idea about numbers, it has been mentioned in a previously.
Never mind, lets just wait for the stock issue to be over and the manufacturers to catch up....Never ever pay full price for anything and question everything at least twice!0 -
Just received this email - I guess we'll all be getting them...*** This is an auto-generated message and we cannot process your reply ***
Dear Customer
Thank you for placing an order with Dell. For internal reasons, we have not been able to complete the processing of your original order to your requirements. This happens from time-to-time when parts or systems are discontinued or incompatible.
If we can build your order with an equivalent specification, a new order will be placed for you within the next business day. You will receive updated order reference numbers once this is complete.
Otherwise a Dell agent will be contacting you to discuss the details.0 -

...umm, got the same email - doubt they'll source 26" for everyone, wonder how they'll resolve this?0 -
That's the email I got on Tuesday. Haven't had a call yet, even though it was promised for last night or first thing this morning. Very fed up of this now.0
