Just had an Email from Dell to say my Tv is in production " even though on there site it says pre-production still" and should be with a carrier within 3-5 days, I think I am getting somewhere now, just hope its worth the effort :rolleyes:

Has anyone had any joy actually speaking to someone who can speak english at Dell??

I ordered on Monday night and have an order confirmation with a customer and order number. On the website it says I am in pre-production. Today two people have called me. The first one told me the TV was end of line and out of stock and asked if they could cancel my order and then i could order a new TV from the website (for more money obviously). When i said that this wasn't acceptable they were flummoxed and asked if they could call me back. The second call knew nothing about the first call but was to tell me I should expect delivery on the 5th!

I'm now lost as to whether I am getting a TV or not, but although I have tried a few numbers I just get through to the india call centre, where they can't even pronounce my name, let alone help me.

Any suggestions of numbers which get you a UK/Irish call centre? Or is there no such thing?

Anyone know wher I can pick up a stand for the LCD TV.......

Off to Birmingham tomorrow to see if I can find a decent one....

i called the number on my order conf at 9:10 this morning and spoke to the irish call centre

Thanks Paul, but that is the number I have been trying - I've tried
0870 906 0010
0870 907 4000
0870 152 4699

and just get the india call centre on them all.

Which options did you pick from the menu?

I picked 2 for home system and then didnt input an order number

I have tried the not entering an order number option (although I have to choose 1 for home system, then 2 for an order which has not arrived) to get to that point (on 0870 906 0010) but I just get the indian call centre.

Maybe I'll try early in the day tomorrow, perhaps its the time of day I am calling!
