Ordered mine on Sunday/Monday(can't remember)
Using Walsh & Western's track and trace it left Ireland yesterday, was registered in Coventry 20 minutes ago and my delivery date has changed from 2/12 to 5/12. Not very helpful for those of us that work all day! Many dollars can buy many peanuts!0 -

Very unreal seeing as they have just launched new 32" & 37" LCD models! Maybe the person thought you were just talking about the 19" or 26" screens? Or maybe they didn't know their !!!!!! from their elbowEGG are a bunch of complete bankers!0

bigandycraik wrote:Hi, newbie poster/long time reader here,
I ordered this telly on Sunday and was rang by Dell on Monday to say it would be delivered this evening (Wednesday) between the hours of 5 & 9PM. Guess what! It never arrived.
I checked my order status with Walsh Western online to find a message stating that "the customer (me) was not at home and a card was left".
Bloody liars!
Firstly, I have a dog that goes berserk if anyone so much as breathes loudly outside on the street, secondly I sat near the window all evening and checked for any courier vans driving into my cul-de-sac (none did) and thirdly there is no card behind my door. Someone's telling porkies methinks.
It's one thing to mess up the delivery, but it's another to blatantly lie on the order status.
And if you think I've just been an unlucky one- off, then read this page of people who've been through uncannily similar situations with Walsh Western's delivery of Dell products. I couldn't believe it when I found it tonight.

cancelling.
Call Walsh Westerna nd find out which courier are they using for your package, then call the couriers depot. I had business post deliver mine last night around 9.30pm after i also had the mysterious 'tried to deliver' card.0 -
Mine arrived last night and I ordered Saturday morning. It arrived earlier than I expected, so that was cool.
I set it up briefly and connected it to our lame analogue signal (trying to make land-lady fit a digital rooftop erial to receive freeview). Picture was at to be expected.
Briefly tried a DVD through a scart connection and looked good - slight ghosting on battle scenes (LotR), but was up close and TV hadn't had a chacne to settle yet. Which is the best way to connect a DVD player? Scart, s-video, other cables?
Will try PC later - although it's not a laptop, so i don't want to drag it through every time. Anyone know of extension leads (or longer leads) for a pc?
so far I'm very happy - it looks outstanding and menu system is easy to understand! Looking forward to palying with it tonight :-)0 -
Looks like dell stocks have been cleaned out. The link to the page brings up a page which no longer exists now suggesting that they were clearing out and that the price was a genuine steal. Well done all those who got in quickly enough0

Ordered mine 1 am yesterday. 36 hours ago. Still no confirmation. Only internet reciept acknowledgement. When I try to go into the site to check status it says to wait 24 hours. Do you think I will get one?To win a competition gives you the spirit to carry on (Comping).0

If anybody wants one, then they can have mine before I send it back (26" model). Obviously the TV is in mint condition, as I opened it, wasn't impressed and packaged it all back in the box to be returned. I live in the Glasgow area, so PM before 4pm as that's when i'm going to phone Dell. Cheers.Titch0
