Anyone else noticed that P2UD have changed their registered office address from Erith to Chatham Maritime (full address below). I wonder why. Maybe a sudden increase in legal documents didn't go down too well at their previous address...?

If a summons is returned as unserved, then the court fee isn't wasted.
It is then up to the claimant to serve the summons themselves. You get 4 months from the original date of service to find the defendant and serve the summons. This period can be extended, though you need to apply to the court to extend the period (fee for this is £30)0 -
I must admit I'm starting to get a little concerned, as I used the normal Kemsing address for all my paperwork for the court - I guess that if the summons from the court hadn't been served correctly on them I would know by now as it was 6 weeks ago, and the court hearing is in 9 days.

Kemsing is their trading address. If they have acknowledged and defended the claim and you have a court date set then you have nothing to be concerned about from the change.
Normally it is advisable to issue proceedings to the Company's registered office. Until very recently this was 74 West Street, Erith, Kent. According to Companies House WebCheck it has now changed to the Chatham Maritime address I posted yesterday. This may be problematic for anyone who has recently requested a claim using the old address who, if their post isn't being forwarded, may have the claim returned by the court. However, as noted above it is then a simple matter to serve the claim yourself (in person or via Registered/Special Delivery) to the new address.0 -

I've just been googling "Victory House Admiralty Place" to try and get a handle on what P2UD are up to, and it looks like bad news I'm afraid. The address comes up as the same as Moore Stephens, who are company liquidators. Via other links which came up I've found several other companies listed on the Companies House website as apparently "trading" at the same address, but which are noted as "dissolved" - I can only assume that for the purposes of Companies House legislation, business addresses get transferred to the liquidator while the company is in the process of being wound up.
I was just about to pay my 25 quid to MCOL for my next cashback small claim, but I certainly won't bother now - it will be a case of good money after bad.
Damn it!!! :mad:0 -
It looks like P2UD is now in liquidation. Their latest credit report has the following interesting entry:
Notification of Meeting of Creditors (GB)A meeting of creditors has been called. The meeting will be held on 21.02.2008 at Moore Stephens LLP, Victory House, Admiralty Place, Chatham Maritime, Kent ME4 4QU at 11.00.
There are 28 exact unsatisfied CCJs totalling GBP 7690
Anybody live near there and free to attend?0 -
Yep, looks like it will soon be over for us
Link to the London Gazette confirming the meeting of creditors prior to insolvency

To be fair I have managed to get 2 of my 3 cashback's paid, but then I did claim correctly.
Can not see the point of chasing the last, if there is any money left you can bet we will be way down the list.0
