  • I purchased my phone on the 4th Jan 2006 - which terms and conditions version applies?

Also, I purchased a phone in May 2006 for my wife, which terms and conditions apply?

I did not keep copies of them as I did not know they would change!

I have no response from an email I sent to phone2udirect of the terms and conditions versions. can anybody help and advise.

It looks like I may lose my cashback, can I cancel my contract with O2 like the person on here, or can I downgrade to a lower tariff. Has anybody any legal advice on phone2udirect.

    Thanks
  • I am waiting for my second cashback from Phones2u, but they are late in paying. They received the claim on 5/7, they allow themselves a massive 45 days to process it, so I should have got the money mid August. I've emailed and got an automated reply, stating that the next lot of cheques would be issued 1/9, but nothing has turned up yet. What is worrying me slightly is that now their phones are just switching to a recorded message saying they are having a problem with their computers - seems dodgy to me. Anybody had any payouts from them recently (or know what's really going on)?

They are indeed a very dodgy company. When you order goods, they are slow and poor communication. When a problem occurs, they are still slow. Their whole system is a complete mess. Report them to your local authorities. It might wake them up a bit.
  • Ive just got my first cashback from them thanks to the small claims court. They dont answer calls or respond to emails. I wont ever use them again and suggest others follow suit. Heres how you can get your money back:

Wow - and I was just about to order a phone from them :( I've just logged on having tried to phone them with a query about entering my PAC number on their on-line form - their phone number worked yesterday (but entered a queue, I gave up) but now plays out a pre-recorded message stating that they are having issues with BT and that they are having delays with order processing, the line continues to a voicemail account when the message has finished. Ho hum. Maybe I'm jinxed - was all for ordering 2 phones from mobile rainbow, now I've taken down phones2udirect ! :)

So you're the one I should chase for compensation! I wonder if that would hold up in court.

Sounds like a lucky escape to me - I wonder if the 30 quid small claims fee is worth paying or if they have already gone...
    I think....
  • I wouldn't recommenmd Dialaphone either.

My next phone will be from Vodaphone, O2 or Orange depending on which network I choose to be with. I will not be using any of the phone providers that do not also provide a network.

    :)

and I was just about to give up ... but phoneboxdirect seem to have saved my faith in cashback schemes ... they actually answer their phones and are able to have a conversation! wow. shame the k750 deal isn't running any more, but i think i'll be ordering a couple of 12/12 cashback o2 deals from them (nokia 6111 for SWMBO, maybe a SE 530 instead of the 750 for me instead ...)
