well he was obviously a shoplifter/potential shoplifter that took offence at being rumbled, i wasn't saying that was the norm, i was just saying that was the straw that broke the camels back.

and for the people that really don't believe that there are no other jobs than call centres and retail in certain areas, if you are really that interested try jobcentre plus and put stoke on trent in, the home of vodafone, phones 4u, royal mail, parcelforce, npower, jackpot joy and thats just off the top of my head!

Yeah but Stock On Trent is a large urban area, we've established if you live in a large urban area you'll more than likely find other work.

Ah!!!

I saw postal companies mentioned which of course would have warehouse type work.

I am surprised somewhere as large as Stoke On Trent doesn't have much other than retail. I know though the job centers have a crap selection of jobs. The best I found a few years ago (the last time I looked for work) were local papers.
