...i made the phonecall to cancel it and then asked how they would pay me my cash back that i had accumulated. they then told me i was not intitled to it as i had broken the rules of the agreement, basically i had not been with them long enough to get the money. ...
That's what it says quite clearly in the account terms and conditions which you agreed to when you took out the card, Accucard have done nothing wrong.
Accucard's Cashback Rewards are credited to the account annually on the anniversary of opening.
I'm going to have to stick with Accucard's 0.5% cashback - as a student with a low overall income and very little "earned" income I'm not going to be able to get a better card.
Still 0.5% is better than a kick in the teeth.student100 hasn't been a student since 2007...0 -
they dropped thier cashback back to 0.05% so as the rules say - ditch and switch which i done to a more than card.
Unfortunately good cashback rates are getting rarer because the companies have realised that the type of people who go for cashbacks are the type of people who clear their balance every month. In other words the ones who don't make them any money.0 -
But the card companies charge the retailer a % of the take...............................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0

True, which is why if they are not making money out of you they don't want to give away what they get from the retailer.0

I brace myself every time I read one of your posts for awful puns. I'm amazed you managed to resist that one for so long!

Have gone through the Amex Blue T&Cs and it says the cashback is paid to your account as a rebate off the bill. Is this true? Can Amex Blue holders confirm if they get actual cash or just money off their next bill?
American Express customer service say that the Amex Blue cashback is actually a rebate off your anniversary bill so you don't get cash in hand. On the plus side, they are doing 2% 'cashback' for the first 3 months for new accounts.0 -
I find it pretty strange that most of the Accucard-related cards (i.e. Texaco, Accucard etc) have lowered the cashback rate down to 0.5%, but the More Than card has remained at 0.8% even though it's part of the same group.Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
