    I found this...

"The setting is as majestic as the complex itself, set on the Sabika, a long wooded hill 150 metres above the city with the snow-capped Sierra Nevada a towering backdrop. A Muslim poet once described the hill as a crown with the Alhambra the great ruby set in it; the name 'Alhambra' signifies 'the red' in Arabic, alluding to the colour of the bricks used by the Moors to build the outer walls."

    Has anybody tried "Crown"

No they are poems IN the Alhambra rather than ABOUT the Alhambra.

crin, it's spelt prism which is 5 characters so you could be onto something.

Where did you get the Grenada clue from? My clue says "Leave Florence and continue your journey to the line of Conception in Gibralter".

It's not prism and it isn't water either. I suppose it could just be simple and be Spain!
The clue about Granada is an extra one when you put in someones email other than your own.

It does, but it says something about 2026km along the route and if you to go ViaMichelin, that is the exit for Granada.

And I got the extra clue for inviting a friend to join.

  • Still no joy here after going through numerous avenues of researching since 8am this morning.. I was thinking 'silver' as its said the palace gleams a silvery shimmer under the moonlight. But silver is not a gem hence I have not tried that one.

Just tried 'chert' and 'prism', its neither of them.
(Must go create some new email addys for this one)!

It's not Islam or Spain either. The water feature is the bit the poets write about it being like a pearl because of the marble but I have now run out of ideas and my head is whirling. I think I'll leave it for a while and go back to it later on today.

  • Its not 'Ruby' either so I think it definately has to be/fit the 5 letter space for the answer.
