Great to hear of some refunds,we knew it would be a fight though so now is the hardest bit!
I really think watchdog should have taken this on......i mean its a news worthy story, even if watchers havnt been scammed themselves it would give them a wake up call to an up to date scam.
well done anyway again everyone :money:

Thanks, I'm feeling bit better today so not in such a doom and gloom mood!! Bank was quite positive yesterday but will see what happens next Monday. They will probably deny everything they said yesterday!!
Not sure what else to search for on discount buggies! I keep looking but not finding anything new. The only thing I noticed was that only one buyer actually said they recieved a pram. kerrynock_123 item 320284100782 on 2 sept. It was a joolz by m&P £400. Just wondered if this has been mentioned before?! Wondered if they actual got it or were they part of the scam!!?? Being cynical there! No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

I see, that was were I was getting muddled yes. So if you didn't buy through Ebay, you don't get your money back? That's rubbish! Will you be able to get your money back through your bank?
When Paypal refund the money, does it come from them and then they have to try to get it from the seller? I'm gathering that the guy doesn't have any money in his Paypal account and has long since spent/hidden the money he scammed, the filthy scumbag!
If I haven't heard from Paypal next Monday, I'll be contacting them again, my ten days is up on Saturday.
I don't suppose this will get onto Watchdog, as it's not an ongoing issue, but if it does, could someone let us know?0 -

Yes we didn't get any money because there wasn't anything in his account, surprise surprise!! Think ebay must have some sort of insurance that pays the money. We now have to go to the bank who claim the money from paypal. Paypal then try and get the money from the seller to recoup the money they had to give to our bank. Its a long way round and a bit complex but it sounded like we will get the money!! Fingers crossed! Did you buy through ebay or just paypal? No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

When I first started looking at his feedback I noticed this. I viewed the listing for that item and it was sold via auction, not buy it now. As this was obviously a well planned scam, either the buyer was a fake or he purchased a pram and sold it on so he could give himself some credibility :undecided0 -

So they make you jump through a bunch of hoops to get your money back, sounds about right! They probably hope that people will think it's too much hassle and just not bother.
I bought through Ebay, so will hopefully get the money back soon, if not, I'll be paying my bank a visit!
I hope you get your money back, as I hope everyone else who's been ripped off by this git does! This forum's been extremely helpful and I'm really glad I found it, otherwise I'd probably be still beating myself up, rather than fighting back!
I wonder if the Police will ever get in touch with me?0 -
i emailed kerrynock about 3 days ago but have had no response so take from that what you will!0

I sent an email to a buyer who left vague positive feedback, to find out if they'd done so on the promise of a refund, and to point them in the direction of this thread. But they advised me they had actually received the buggy.
Unfortunately, I can't tell you who it was, as I can't access ebay here at work.0 -

i notice kerrynock_123 had only made a few purchases and sales. (think its 3) made me suspicoius, but then I'm now suspicious of any web site with 'discount' in the title! Maybe its nothing. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
