Not read much, but just looking at:
"for example maclaren xlr rrp £179 they are selling them for £99 free p&p"
To be honest, there's nothing to be suspicious of there. RRP are usually very inflated prices in order to protect small retail stores who need to price things highly in order to make a living. Having a high RRP helps this immensly. Most major chain stores will sell for much below RRP, just as they don't need to make as much profit on individual items.
Online sellers will again sell lower than this as they have no need to recover store rental and staff costs.
eBay sellers, if selling old stock, refurbs, heavily discounted stuff, slightly visually damaged good, etc etc, will again sell a lot lower than this.
Frankly, I'd expect to see an RRP £180 item for ~£100 in woolworths, and for that much on ebay is probably still a bit high. So unless there's anything else to be concerened about....
EDIT: oh geez, page 20? I think I may have missied a bit... or a lot... *looks dumb*0 -

There are some bases on ebay at the moment which people are sellling(if you are still using ebay of course!!!) Make sure its the current one(and make sure it fits your car seat),the one you need is either the isofix or the one with a spirit level,i think they may have changed them in March 2008.
Fortunately, the original pram id ordered with mamas and papas came with a free isofix car seat base, and mamas and papas have allowed the offer as the delivery hadnt been cancelled !!!!! So now all we need is baby to appear! 9 days to go, and its finally sorted- just waiting for £325 !!!!:o
Good luck in the next week!! let us know what happens! we need happy news.No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

With the isofix base you dont need to use the seat belt - the car seat just sits on top, just ask them to try it. there have been second hand isofix ones on ebay and have gone for around £65.00 (inc P&P) - new ones have gone for about £85 plus p&p.Thanks for your kind wishes- its very exciting -:j how long have you got?0 -

Just had a phone call from the police and been given a crime number. If you haven't contact them yet it will be worth doing so they can build up the evidence and give you a crime number. Uxbridge Police forwarded the info to Ruislip Crime desk who are dealing with it.Email: hillingdon.enquiries@met.police.ukNo Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30

I know I am probably all a bit late but I ordered and paid for a Mama's and Papa's Luna Pushchair through discountbuggies on ebay on 24th Sept and have only just realised today when tracking my order that they are no longer a registered user and obviously noticed all the negative feedback! I am so gutted - I know it was a really good price and that usually if things look too good to be true it's usually because they are but am still really gutted that I am now only a couple of weeks away from having my baby and this has happened. I did pay through paypal so have put a claim in but am concerned that I have done this quite late so may not receive a refund. I think for anyone to do something like this has no soul what so ever - it's hard enough in this current climate to provide for your family without complete scammers taking your hard earned money - it's literally robbing from children!!!!!
Anyway I will re-post if I do end up getting any contact back from Paypal.0
