• Ive just had Valerie from ruislip Police station on the phone wanting a report on our incident, she is very nice and wants this man to be caught as soon as possible, and believes they will be able as 1. he has an address and 2. he has a bank account.
Unfortunately only 5 people have actually reported this guy to her, if there were more i.e everyone who has been scammed they will have a much better case against him, im not really sure how we can find out everyone who has been involved - but it will apparantly help us. I have been given a crime reference number so please please any of you who are out there and havent emailed the police - please do it as soon as possible - the email address is
hillingdon.enquiries@met.police.uk
The email recipient has been warned she may become inundated with people - so they have been warned.
Good luck all:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

A student address probably though, so very likely as he isn't responding to new customers that the person has skipped back from whichever country they came from.

• I to have just had a phonecall giving me a crime reference. I have also just made a posting on the ebay forums asking for people affected to either contact me or come to this forum. I have not used the words scam or fraud , or named the seller. I have named the thread Discount buggies, I hope I have put in enough info for people to find it and understand what I am trying to get at without triggering ebay sensorship.
• HI.. YET ANOTHER VICTIM HERE OF THIS !!!!!!.

HAVE JUST SPOKEN TO POLICEMAN GREG DOVER WHO HAS GIVEN ME THE CRIME NUMBER: 0922131/08 HE SUGGESTED I POST IT ON HERE FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT PAID BY CREDIT CARD, YOU CAN NOW USE THIS TO HOPEFULLY HURRY ALONG GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK VIA YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY. HE SEEMS TO THINK IT CAN TAKE SOME TIME FOR THESE THINGS TO BE RESOLVED.

THE OFFICER DEALING WITH THE CASE IS DETECTIVE SGT JONES FROM UXBRIDGE POLICE STATION.

HOPE THIS IS OF SOME USE

• Can anyone email all those negative feedbackers on the ebaysite feedback list telling them? I have tried but it says I can't because I haven't bought from ebay. Its really frustrating because I can see them but can do nothing to contact them!!!!

I have just emailed teh met police. Sorry it took me so long! I have also checked the paypal status and it says that they are still waiting for the response from the seller.

Soolin - did I get this right what you wrote? The new Paypal rulles that you are fully protected are only valid if the seller had full protection?

The “This item is fully protected when you pay with PayPal” message is displayed in the seller listing information. The “This item is fully protected when you pay with PayPal” message is displayed in the seller listing information.

Our lovely ''seller'' had only £150 protection so I don't think it apply to us?

When the new rulles came live?

I managed to send messages to the top 5 but when I attempted the 6th natshorses i was told i have sent my maximum number of messages for today. I will send some more tomorrow but it will take me quite a while to get through all of them only sending 5 a day. If anyone else wants to start contacting them just let me know who you have sent to so thay don't get too many emails.
