i have been scammed by this man, i am really upset as needed this buggy , like many others did, does anyone know whether we will get our money back thro paypal?

It would appear judging by most peoples opinion on here that if you paid by paypal and have now raised a dispute with them and escalated it to a claim it appears that the general concensus is you WILL be refunded up to the level of the guarantee of £150. Call me pessimistic if you want but I will believe this when all the pram buyers come on here and tell me they were refunded from paypal. If this guy has had the necessary time to clear the funds from his paypal account and clear off which it appears he has, then, well, Im watching this thread with baited breath as I do not rate paypal one bit. (remember https://www.paypalsucks.com) I wish you all the best with your claim, I hope you reported the seller to his local police station at Hillingdon, (phone number posted previously)

ive just given my details to happymummy too.i went to m & p today and begrudgingly paid the full whack for my luna mix travel system as i didnt want any chance of this happening again and my wife is fit to burst.i normally strive to find a bargain but after this disaster weve taken no chances/had no choice.the man is an !!!.

What level of protection was your auction showing when you purchased, when did you open a full chargeback and how did you back your paypal payment.

We know how you feel. Thats why we drove to the shop to pick ours up!! (over an hour and a half each way!) It was well worth the trip. We saved a bit of money and saw that the shop and the people in it were genuine and very helpful. It restored our confidence a bit in independant retailers. That will be the only internet shop I will buy baby things off in future. (Begees)

It has put me off looking round for a cheap deal aswell. Because I need the buggy and didn't want to take a chance again, I got my xlr from Babies R Us.

read through all these message ( Get a cup a of tea theres quite a few!!) and send emails to those people that others have, eg police, Mp etc. The more people that do this the more notice will be taken. Also Happy mum 24-7 is complying a list of names and addresses, how much people have lost, etc, So you could private message her. A couple of people have had notification that the police are looking in to it, so we have to hope this will be positve.
Its good to find another fighter amogst us!:T

my mamas and papas mpx ultima arrived one day early today, from mamas and papas - for a very brief second i thought 'bargainbuggies' had come up with the goods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok i was probably just hoping, M&P just had their delivery dates wrong!! Never mind, im know the proud owner of an ultima mpx travel system, which has cost me £870!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bargain eh - lets hope pay pal help us all out.
Ive had an email from the met police to saying they are looking into the matter, so fingers crossed, good luck to everyone else:o

We got ours at the weekend. Cost about the same!! The car seat doesn't fit so we need to get a base, then there's a raincover, sheets etc etc....probably be about £1000 when we've finished! When we started looking we were looking at much cheaper prams then this came along!!! At least we know we can sell them on ebay after!!!!!
