Is This Too Good To Be True?

I wasn't 100% sure of this when I saw it but emailed before I bought and researched to check out. Unfortunately nothing came up at that time and he emailed back so I ordered through Ebay. It really was too good to be true which really I knew but wanted to save some money as we were only really buying the stroller for our holiday abroad.
I was given last Wed as a delivery date like others and had no replies to my emails since then! I'm hoping I do get my money back but will be buying a new stroller in the next few weeks.
Thanks for all the great advice etc on here, I'm glad I'm not the only one but sorry too! Will try and get time tomorrow to read through the last few pages properly and do all I can to help report and find this person.0 -

If you are not bothered and you WILL be getting your money back, why waste your time on here and emailing the police, contacting MPs, suing ebay and contacting interpol and watchdog?? You haven't listening to the good advice of Rainman and soolin, but then if your refund is a click away - why would you?No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30

You don't just think of yourself, you think of the bigger picture. I don't think i will get my money back as I didn't buy through E-bay but it doesn't stop me wanting to help others get their money or to stop others in the future from being defrauded. Who's not saying in a few months time he does it again under a different name.
her comments were aimed at me though , which if I had been emailing loads of people I wouldn't have minded but I haven't emailed anyone .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .
Thomas came home after 3 months and 2 days in hospital weighing 5lb 15ozs
Thomas weighed 21lb 4ozs on his 1st birthday , a total weight gain of 18lbs 5ozs !

And also to confirm it doesn't matter when you purchased the prams , you will be covered under the new Paypal rules , yet again double checked in this mornings phone call .
However, if you read my posts you will see that paypal will tell you exactly what you want to hear. I lost money on a buyer after being assured buy several people, some apparently supervisors at paypal that there wa sno way at all I could lose.
Also last week I got a goodwill refund from paypal after a huge amount of correspondence when they agreed that their phone operatives had given me assurances that they were not in a position to make. In that case they told me I was not guaranteed my money back despite this being confirmed in emails, but as I did have written evidence that paypal had told me this they would refund me as a goodwill gesture only.
The new rules would cover people, unfortunately the purchases were made under the old rules. Those with small purchases under £150 who got their claims in quickly should be OK, those with larger claims and limited paypal protection may struggle and those with full paypal protection and larger amounts should be OK but may need to keep on at paypal to get their refunds. This is why I suggested that everyone keep a screen grab of their auction page, as that shows what level of entitlement they had.
I like paypal and often get blasted on here for defending it against all complaints, however believing you have blanket protection is not wise. Most people should be OK, I am hoping that those who might not otherwise be covered will gain enough info and assistance on here to also get full refunds however they need to go about that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I can't do screen grabs for some reason but I know I had £150 protection on a £100 purchase .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .

Now that the seller has been suspended it almost certainly means that the pages will no longer be available which is a shame.
Under the old rules £150 was th e'basic' level and replaced the old ebay compensation and many people were charged a handling fee for being refunded, it used to be £15. It also meant that funds were not guaranteed to be returned unless paypal themselves could grab that money from the seller, which is why I said earlier that those on the basic protection only might be on a first come first served basis until the available funds run out.
However with paypal if you don't get a refund then it is always worth persevering as they themselves often don't understand their own rules. We have had instances on here where a claim has been agreed but then the buyer has been told that funds were not available, Frivious Fay , one of our regulars, is very good at pointing out what you need to say back to them to try and force a refund,.
What status is showing on your paypal claim at present, are they still awaiting a response from seller or has it moved on? How many days now has your chargeback bene open?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
