Ive been reading everyones messages but have been unable join this forum unti now!!! Ive also been scammed by this loser!! ( a very polite term i will use for now!!) I purchased the Mamas and Papas ultima mpx travel system - i think i was one of the first, so when i did all of my internet research there wasnt reports on him so i felt it was quite genuine, the purchase worked out at the time to be about £90 cheaper as mamas and papas were giving away a free car seat base, so it wasnt as good a bargain as originally seen, but i was still saving £90, it all helps!!!! Mr Discount Buggies replied immediately to all of my messages - very efficient. I was given Wednesday 8th October between 3pm and 5pm, found someone to collect my son from school et etc etc and it obviously failed to arrive!!
What REALLY REALLY upset me was after sending numerous emails to this guy - he never got back to me -
i sent feedback to ebay(for some reason it came out as a positive) and within seconds he had sent me a positive feedback saying what a great customer i was, with good comms, would use again etc etc etc, at this point i was actually in tears and he was totally taking the p*** out of me and was obviously waiting at his end to rub more salt into the wound!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is upseting more than anything is my baby is due in less than 2 weeks, the pram was supposed to be used as a crib (as well as a pram) the car seat is an item which the hospital insist the baby will need to be taken home in or you cant leave!!!!! Fortunately i have a very understanding husband. these last few weeks of pregnancy are meant to be very exciting as everything is supposed to be all falling into place and the wait for baby is getting closer, we all dont need this stress at any time - but pregnancy makes us feel more vulnerable anyway.
I shall end my rather long essay and hope i have put my point across, i would love more than anything for this scumbag to be caught and will do as much as i can to help anyone.
Thanks RAINMAN for the emails you managed to send to people , its a pity i wasnt on your list, but you obviously had so many people to inform i do understand.
Hello Ivoops and so sorry to hear of yet another innocent person this scammer has robbed. I started emailing everyone after I noticed that this seemed too good to be true. If you dont mind me asking and as I am still looking for an ultima 8 in 1 could you let me know where you saw one for £90 dearer than the scamster. The cheapest I saw was on ebay for £495 + £15 = £510. The cheapest eleswhwere I saw was the RRP of £545. Bear in mind this 8 in 1 was never £325 as the robber would have had to paid postage (approx £35) plus ebay and paypal selling fees so it was on offer at around £250 which made alarm bells ring in my head. If he had advertised it around £375 plus £30 P&P I would have clicked the buy it now button, so probably by going too cheap he scared me off. I would urge you to phone his local police station and report that you have been defrauded by this person, you can also let them know they there are also a few others like you, but I do believe there has been a few emails sent, but I know the email dept wont be manned/read 24/7 so it might take a few days for these to register where as a phone call is instant. All the best in tracking this crook down, I on board if anyone needs assistance.0 -
I presume the weekend will be quiet everyone....apart from a few people like ivoops (welcome by the way, sorry its under such horrible circumstances, hopefully we can help!) who will be googling like mad to find out what they can do and will stumble across us.
I tried to change my facebook to make a new group but i didnt know how to do it-if someone could tell me how?
Just as a start could everyone affected please PM me with their name, what you bought, how much you paid and by what method, where you bought either his website or ebay. Also if you have been refunded, include that aswell.
That will give us an idea of numbers to pass onto whoever takes up the case..im still very concerned that his website is STILL live although appears not to be taking payments,it has worked SO well for him i bet he is already up and running with another similar site.
Thanks everyone.

Hello Laura
Do you plan to message all of the buyers who have already left negative on ebay ?
I had this problem last year with dodgy LED christmas lights which nearly burnt my house down, I contacted seller for refund who said no, I contacted trading standards who were horrified and went to his door to insist in the names and addresses of everyone he sold these to. He was made to email them to tell them either to return them for a refund or confirm they had been binned. My point is that I messaged quite a few people about the dangers of these lights and the bulk of the replys were they were ONLY £32 Ive just binned them. Im amazed about the number of people who cannot be bothered to pursue a matter and fight for justice, they just accept it so to speak and learn by their mistakes, I had to tell them that if they return the lights they will get a full refund. I am fearful that you might get a similar response here (although we are talking about greater sums of money) thinking that we've spent £100 on a buggy to no avail, well we will know better next time scenario. Let me know your views please, This is why Im asking do we contact all the buyers who have left negative, Im sure they will not all have logged on here.
Kind Regards

Is there anyway of finding out who he sold to apart from through feedback, as only about 47 people managed to leave negative feedback before his ebay account was shut down. A search on goofbay shows him selling to over 100 and making over £13500, but does not tell you who to.0

just a thought but with a court order the police or trading standards can trace where
0871 528 4489
is really directed at and who owns that telephone lineEx forum ambassador

I agree Alistair, yes, not everyone would have the interest to pursue this person-if i got a warning email from someone i would probably have less trust for this person than the scammer.....we all have a little voice in our heads warning us not to trust emails from strangers! Although i feel the scale of this particular situation and the fact the name discount buggies is gaining momentum it might just work!
Saying that i havent emaild the list of buyers from ebay as i cant be sure how many of us actually have (you of course, but perhaps others!) it could become harrasment, lol.
Thats why i wanted to start a list of confirmed 'scammed' through PM,to get an idea of numbers already here.
To be honnest it feels like we are doing the police work for them,we are!,but its just something i cant stand for, letting the scammer get away with it,and i wont stop until something positive happens for everyone affected.
Do you feel i shoud try emailing buyers,i mean id rather take the chance of being ignored if it means one person will find us here! I have the same username on ebay as i do on here so perhaps people who do look me up would see im a genuine happymummy!
Thanks all those who do PM me by the way,i will keep the thread informed of numbers by the end of the day.
Again i agree it could be heads against walls here, however its war with me,he emailed me so sweetly too,i wont be letting this one get away!
( well done with the xmas lights by the way,at least you DID something to help others,i really do believe in karma,so well done)it takes more energy

I don't know if anyone has tried this number, or whether it's already posted here (I put a search in and couldn't see it) but the number listed on BT directory enquiries for A Hassan at the St Peters Road address is (01895) 443071.0

I think someone mentioned that the landline number is out of service, or redirected or something.0
