I to have been conned by this person. I just feel lucky that unlike many I am only down £100. I was a bit wary but thought I would go ahead as I could always claim through paypal. I now realise through this thread that I may not get my money back after all. However this person is was still monitoring their ebay account on weds night when the truth started to be realised as before ebay removed the feedback he had left there was feedback left on weds night for one of the people he scammed saying great ebayer super fast payment. What a complete ******** rubbing salt in the wounds. I have just had to find the money to pay for another buggy as I have a 5 week old and my pram is too big to take away with me in a couple of weeks.0

I dont mind being spokesperson if we want to set up another thread and we can compile a list of names of those affected ( i didnt buy,as i had checked it out on here from the first day it seemed iffy,so i probably cant call the local police and paper as i have not directly been scammed)
Where should i put the new thread? warnings and rip off's perhaps? with discount buggies in the title?
Im not too technical but perhaps a solid list of names and amount of money lost/refunded would be a start, then a nominated person could call the local police and our list of names could be passed on for added weight, what do you think?
ps im in Northern Ireland so i cant quite go round to his front door..is anyone close enough to take a look?

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA. Sorry didn't realise caps lock was on!! What about a facebook group? Is that better than a forum? I don't know!!??!!No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30

I agree. I think a facebook group would be good as then you have a definate list of members to keep count of.0

You need a dedicated site which someone can moderate, MSE is probably Ok for this thread but for an action group you need something with more opportunities to interact.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi
I also agree I think all those who have been ripped of or who are just damn right annoyed that this moron is scamming and taking innocent peoples money should be on a list so we can see exactly how much damage this idot is doing. I was another culprit who was waiting for a Maclaren Quest buggie to arrive. Fortunately I raised a dispute through Paypal. Emmanouil emailed me after midnight on the Monday to say my buggie was arriving on Wed yes you guessed it between 3and 5! I then got another email sent 2mins later from Paypal stating the dispute was settled and I was getting a full refund. I got a full refund today. I phoned Emmanouil 3 times and he answered the 3rd time.(Emmanouil is not his real name as he has spelt it differently 3 times.) After interrogating him ha ha, I gave him his full character. Believe me this guy talks complete s**t! I have then reported him to Maclaren who are very interested in any information and I was told that Discount buggies are being investigated! I am also going to report this online scam to watchdog!0 -
Well in the distinct absence of any response to my posts earlier I have done some basic research.
The address you have is almost certainly residential as all the surrounding properties are flats:
http://www.houseprices.co.uk/st-peters-road-hillingdon-uxbridge-ub8/21/
That also shows a huge turnover of sales in that street which suggests investment properties or letting agents reselling properties.
I can still get a valid google checkout page:
https://checkout.google.com/view/buy?o=shoppingcart&shoppingcart=577707503690940
so that might need reporting again
You could try the local councillors, the ward details are as follows:
This postcode is in the Brunel ward of the Uxbridge constituency. You can find the list of councillors here as well as the council details so may be worth reporting it to them:
http://www.hillingdon.gov.uk/index.jsp?articleid=6179
Worryingly the area with that postcode is used as student lets, so you might want to try the local colleges and explain your position as they might recognise the mode of operation.
You also need to speak to the local MP who i think is John Randall:
http://www.johnrandallmp.com/
I''m sorry I know I am sounding boring here but just sending emails to Watchdog is not going to work short term, you have to start doing some real work yoursel;f to track this person down. If it is a student then the need to act faster is even more important as overseas students can often do short courses, so scumbag could well be long gone. Track down the landlord of the property today and talk to them..even if you do nothing else.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Could I suggest someone who has been defrauded by this scammer to contact his local police at the above number. They will have to look into it as it appears that this is like fraud on a big scale. Why wait on ebay, paypal, watchdog, new forums etc etc PHONE TODAY. I would gladly and love to phone but they will not entertain me as I am not a victim. Let me know how you get on, Im sure they will be more than happy to co-operate.0 -
