I phoned the sky 0800 number yesterday & told them that I would like to cancel my sky world contract(£42.50) due to the fact that I needed to save some money & that there was no football on for a few months & that was basically all I had it for. I was eventually put thru to retentions & a nice man called Grant offered me the Sky world package at a reduced price of £31.50 for 12months, BARGAIN!!!! a saving of £132, I tried to get him to throw in Prem Plus but he wouldn't, never mind I was quite happy with what I'd got. Good luck if you have a go. I Also called NTL for my girlfriend and and reduced her Phone/broadband package from £43 to £22.74 by threatening to go to TalkTalk, even bigger BARGAIN!! an annual saving of £2430

Where can I find out which package is which? I have had a look at sky.com but can't seem to find it.

Phoned T/West stated that my broadband not does not offer value for money and also call charges are higher now and therefore not a saving.
Immediately offered me a reduction of £8 off Broadband and also gave me talk mobile free for 3 months to see if I noticed a difference in the cost as my bill is mainly mobile calls.
Would not have dreamt of calling had it been for this board so a big thank you to you all.
Also getting TV Drive on the 9th June and no £50 install for me!:j0 -
I also got a 25% discount for next 12 months, but I cannot amend my package.
Got to pay the £50 for prem plus now0 -
whiteangel wrote:Phoned Sky to ask for a Sky+ box for the same price as a new customer, i.e. £89. Was told this offer was only available to new customers, not existing. I asked to be put through to Cancellations, where I spoke to a very nice lady and upon explaining my situation, was offered Sky+ for £49.00, no installation fee and no ongoing costs! I have also been offered Saturday installation!! Result.
Whiteangel or anyone else who may have been successful as above, could you advise the following:
What size hard drive is in the Sky+ box you were given?
What happened to your original Sky box - did the guy who installed the new Sky+ box take it away with him or were you able to hold onto it.
Not to doubt the deal you got, but do you really not have to pay the extra £10 a month for the Sky+ service?
Thanks in advance.0 -
Hi
After using up all our offers, I had to go down the cancellation route. Sky has gone off today and i would like to try thr reconnect for 1/2 price but the previous code of EASTER doesn't work anymore.
Does anyone have another one.
Thanks

My sister has just moved house, she was on the full package and was told it would cost her £40 to install Sky at her new house. She threatened to cancel and was told that if she left her old digibox behind in her old house for the person moving in to use, she could have a new digibox with free installation at her new address.
She also got the full package half price for 3 months, and £25 of M&S vouchers. If the person who bought her house subscribes to Sky using the digibox she left behind, she gets another £25 voucher. The person at Sky who she spoke to said this was a "pilot project", she didn't have to push for it other than saying she was going to cancel.0 -
What details do you need to give when you phone to cancel? I'm at work now but fancy giving it a go...I don't know my card number and can't remember my PIN number, will just my name and address do??0
