I managed to get 25% off my sky bills 6 months ago now we have come to the end I telephoned again and this time was told that there was nothing available for us, but that was from Customer Services and Im not sure what Department I need to speak to. Mic2904 what number did you ring???
Hey, what you want is cancellations, they have the power to give further discounts, unfortunately as you were given an offer before you might be unlucky this time, there is a limit to the offers you can recieve. Be nice to the person in cancellations and they might be able to make an exception :-)0 -

Hi,
What Saphire1 said, you need to press the keys to go to Cancellations! Only they can offer you the best deal.
My expirience says that if you tell them straight away, that you actually look for a new deal, they are very helpful.

Hi
My current VM deal is :
XL TV £23, M BB £20 and phone rental £11. I get only £9.50 saving for having all three - so total for package is £44.50
Is it worth haggling further - not contacted them for about 2 years. Dont want to extend contract as may be emigrating in the new year. Looking to save cash rather than haggle for upgrade. Any thoughts?0 -
I currently paid £47.50 per month to Sky for all the channels - what was I thinking this was way to much, especially that we didn't even watch all the channels. So I phoned up Sky and told them the fact that I am paying for all these channels which I dont watch. They then offered me to reduce the price to £27.50 per month, a saving of £20 per mth. I accepted that is a saving of £240 per mth and I got to keep all the channels.
Very happy indeed.:j0 -
Am thinking of taking on Sky+ coz our recordable hard-drive keeps breaking. The cheapest way seems to be £18.50pm plus a one-off £49 for the Sky+ box and £30 for installation. Is there any cheaper way to do this? Do any of you have any deals you could pass on at all?it's better to give an inexpensive gift with a smile than an expensive one with a frown

Went to croydon shopping centre and they had an amazing offer. Free sky+ box with the usual £30 installation. Got it for a mate as its the best deal around.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -

Are you doubley sure they haven't reduced your package? It's very unusual of Sky to give a 12 month near half-price discount. The most I've ever got out of them is 33% off for 6 months followed by 25% off for 12 months - but they have to be convinced you're going to cancel otherwise! I assume you told them you were going to cancel and they put you through to 'cancellations' *ahem* (retentions dept.)
More than fair play to you if you have managed to get that discount though! :TQuarter of a century of unsurpassed supremacy0 -
Cancelled my Multi-Room last week, I was offered 20% off my main bill £36.70 for six months if I retained. Initially I accepted but thinking about it for couple of days, decided
1) It was pointless retaining the service as my daughter has moved out (saved myself £10 per month)
2) There is no TV in her old room so pointless paying out for something that not being used.
3) Thought maybe six months down the line, I'd buy another TV and wait to see what incentives Sky will offer for an upgrade of service.:D
Lastly, after reading some of your post, I have done the right thing by cancelling as their offer has turned out to be rubbish!!
Thanks All:beer:

Have had sky on and off for years and the best deal I have got from them was the last which was 6 months, on the full package plus multiroom, for half price.
I don't currently have sky on as they messed me about with taking money when they should not have, when 3 advisers assured me no money would be taken, they did.
So I cancelled my direct debit.
So right now I owe them £59 and would like my sky+ back on so will be wanting them to wipe that for me to sign up again.
All in all I think I have had about 8 money off deals from sky in the past few years.... lol so cant really complain, although I do think their full package is over priced.0 -
Hello. I am going to phone Virgin media to try to get a better deal. Does anyone know the number of their cancellations team? Cheers0
