    Congratulations, well done.

I don't have BT Broadband but might consider changing from my present supplier freedom2surf if that deal was still on offer
  • Wow it took a bloody long time but i have finally managed to get Sky+ for completley free of charge. i have been a cusomer of sky for the past 3 years and have always wanted to upgrade to Sky+ but i have always argued and disagreed with paying the £30 connection fee, because i am already connected and i also totally disagreed with their 'You have to take Multiroom' if you want the free box offer!! Well, now that we live in Wales and in the digital switch over area there was on an offer on the Tv about 8 weeks stating that you could get a free box, i though hhmmm thats interesting so i called sky again to discuss an upgrade (About the 50th time) and was told that all i needed to pay was the £30 connection fee, i decided that the time was right to give in and pay for the connection but i first had to check if Multi room was a part of the offer, i was told no i didnt need to take it, yipee i thought and placed my order, i was told that due to the offer being so succesful i would have to go on a waiting list for the box but i would still get the offer. 4 Weeks went by and i had heard nothing so i called up to get a progress update on the order only to be told that i was on the list but if i did not sign to multi room i would not get the box for free (it would be £150), i explained the offer that i was given and was told that there was no record of this and that if i wanted the offer i would have to pay, i was furious and asked how much this would cost me and was told £4.95 per month, i was so angry i hung up. I called back straight away and had exactly the same converstion with another agent only to be told that multi room would coct me £9.95 a month!!! What!!!! I was so angry i hung up and headed straiight for PC to write them a letter, i sent four letters on the same day, 2 by email and 2 by post all to different addressess, i waited four weeks and had no reply at all, not even to say that they had recieved my letters, i called up once again to querie this and was told that it can take anything from 6 weeks to get a reply!!! However, i recieved a phone call yesterday to tell methat because of all the issues and upset that i have been caused they will be here on Saturday morning to install me a Sky+ box completely Free of charge, no connection fee, no multi room, no additional packages!! Get in there, it does pay to complain and it certainly pays to be persistant.
  • Please can anyone give me a telephone number or email adress for anyone at Sky who understands what a customer complaint is ? I have been cut off during my calls 5 times this week alone; the 'customer complaint' form on the website requires you to submit information into a non existant box before it will process it and I am now almost suicidal?:mad::eek:
Any help or advice gratefully recieved (about Sky contacts not suggestions for suicide!!):D
    Many thanks Mandy

I've just got BT vision bronze pack for half price for 12 months, so pay £7.34 a month for picutre box and sports pack with espn (for a one off fee of £9.78 for the viewing card), this is so much cheaper than sky. Hubbie is very happy!!!
  • I wanted to get a better deal on my Sky+ subscription e.g. free HD, etc.

So I called the Sky number and said I wanted to cancel as I had a better offer.

The India Call Center took my account details - then after a long hold (10 mins) I was transferred to the Scotland Call Center - Cancellations Dept.

The woman asked why I was canceling and I said I had a better offer with Virgin - which is true but I didn't really want to switch.

She then went through checking my details to check all could be canceled.

After a few minutes she said we'd be canceled in a month and would have 1 outstanding payment to make.

NO OFFERS, NO TRYING TO PERSUADE ME TO STAY WITH SKY, NOTHING!

    Anyone else had this happen?

Do Sky attempt to contact you back and see if you will change your mind?

I'd never heard of this happening before

    Any help/advice much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Nigsy

You asked to cancel, Sky cancelled your contract and your not happy. Put it down to experience.
  • Ive just come off the phone to Sky, been looking at the HD deals on Virgin & saw that I could get a V hd for what im currently paying on Sky. I was offered

Sky HD with 6 mixes, mid broadband, telephone rental with free weekend & evening calls. Free box & Installation. £35.50 per month. A bargain I think as I currently paying £37. Its being fitted next Saturday.

This was my first call to them & got everything with no problems.
  • Just phoned Virgin to ask if they could reduce my bill, as I had been looking to change to BT Vision and they were doing an offer for the same services I have with Virgin, but for nearly £180 cheaper!! I have Line rental £11, TV XL £23, Additional V box £15, V+ box £10, and Broadband M £20, per month this works out with discounts at £58.50. BT would have done all this for £44.51 per month

I phoned Virgin and told them I was thinking about changing as BT is much cheaper, and they have let me have the same package and upgraded Broadband to L for £43 per month!! How good is that. I just wish I'd called earlier.
  • I have just called to change my package and managed to take off the £10 for the V+ that I shouldn't have been paying anyway and reduce the bill by about a further £8.

I have Telephone M, TV XL, V+ box and 1 std box and BB XL for £42 and something pence. Oh and I didn't have to start a new contract so I can still cancel at any time :)
  • Sky just offered me a free month as I tried to turn it off after a 6 mth half price deal
