After contacting Sky cancellations I was eventually offered 25% off the Full Sky Package for 6 months.
  • Just obtained an improved deal with Virgin after threatening to leave to Sky.

Currently on XL TV, L BB & normal line rental and paying £59/month.

New offer includes same package plus Free Evening and Weekend Calls for £44.20 SAVING £18.25 A MONTH PLUS THE CALL CHARGES

OK so the deal is to extend contract for 12 months, but as our term expired ages ago, we don't mind.

We are also getting a refund for £24.67 on the current month's bill

    Yay!

right, so I'm on a sky package and have been for a very long time.

I do not, and will not want the line rental, broadband, or any other extra sky services except the TV.

I pay quite a lot and have 6 packs but not movies/sports.

i only need 5 packs, and i hear about people getting free sky+ boxes and cheaper deals.

if i ring and say i wish to cancel, will i be able to get the free sky plus and go down to 5 packs maybe on so many months free or another offer?

EDIT : I have to stay with sky by the way, as i want living and cannot get virgin cable in my area
  • I've just got the following offer VM (I've been a customers for ages!!):

V+ Box: have to pay £49 for installation
    XL TV
Phone: free calls anytime (on 01,02,03 numbers)
10 MB Broadband (and they'll give me a free wireless hub which I currently don't have).

This is for £43 (12 mth contract).

Is this a good package? Or should I push for more?

phoned up to cancel but was offered SKY HD for £29 one off payment and the £9.75 HD package, but the phone line rental would be free for 12 months, thought this was a good deal and accepted, the guy went away to arrange an install date and while he was away the phone cut off:mad:

I called back and was put through to cancellations again, was offered the £29 deal again, however I would have to pay a £60 fee now (not an install fee), apparently incase I cancel??????????, I said that wasn't the deal I was previously offered and I insisted that I be the offered the deal I was offered 20 minutes or cancel my contract...................They cancelled my contract.

    oh well

Got an email today saying I could have Sky HD for £29 and free install with free phone line rental, which basically pays for the HD package for a year.

    That sounds bloody brilliant.

    Are you an existing customer?

Does the offer have a reference code (to call them, or via the website?)
