I was absolutely disgusted that Sky was offering their Sky+ box free to new customers and at £99 to existing customers  so I rang the customer services number and followed the process through to cancellations. I then told her I wanted to cancel my subscription because of this reason and, amazingly, she offered me a FREE Sky+ box with HALF PRICE installation!!! :j
I rang on a sunday, about midday.0 -
I rang today (Sun 7th June), told them I wanted to disconnect becausee they were offering new customers Sky+ for free when existing customers were being charged £99 and I was offered a free Sky+ boz with half price installation - good luck!!!0

Brother in law is not a Sky customer and is looking to join up to Sky + HD. Looking at the advice here and Martin's article, going through quidco will make him £130:money:but cannot see how he puts in our details so we both get vouchers. Do they not do that anymore?0

I joined Sky thru' the recent Cashback Kings offer of £100 and £25 Tesco voucher. But nothing has been returned and the Cashback site is showing Rejected against Sky in my online 'statement'.
I have made a claim but is this a common finding with others?
I am obviously going to fight this to the bitter end if the £100 is not forthcoming!

P.S, Fortunately I had printed out the offer page showing me logged in. But that it precious little proof of a £125 deal!0 -
i think a lot of people will cancel sky cos its over priced £45 for the full package is just bad!0

Please can anyone tell me if they have tried any of the offers such as fox to get live sport on the internet?.0

Watch out for refurbished boxes - we got one when we joined Sky but they didnt mention that some of the functionality wouldnt be there - we cant get the on demand free -tv replay service - they want £65 to replace the box!
On another note - in the digital tv article http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cheaper-sky-cheap-cable it mentions going onto USwitch and entering the channels you want to watch then it will give you a good comparison between companies. I've followed the link but cant find this channel by channel selection. Anyone know where it is?0 -
I've just rang due to my Sky+ box being faulty - I really wanted an HD box but was also hoping for a bit of a discount in order to pay for the new sub. I was offered a free Sky HD box and free installation but this couldn't be combined with any money off deals. I still think this is a better deal than the 20% off for 6 months as it's only worth £54. The clincher was the fact I could get it installed this Thursday - so only 2 days to wait and the faulty box will be history :j:hello: :hello: :hello:0

If you don't want a monthly fee, then you have the choice of either a Freeview PVR or a Freesat PVR. It is Sky who charge a monthly fee (£10 ish per month) for the recording function of their PVR unless you subscribe to their service.

Freeview PVRs often sold on other sites like SVP, BigPockets, Boffer etc for lower prices too. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
