After the screen which said that they had to do a credit check i got another one saying that one of their staff will call me to ask a few more questions and do some more checks. Does this mean that the check has not gone through okay or is this usual practice? Just wondered if this had happened to any one else.
Just to let you know, that I got an email that says they've axxepted me and I have to pay a deposit of £100 which will be refunded in 12 months.0 -
Can someone please offer me some advice on how to negotiate with Sky in order to get a better deal or indeed how to get through to the right person? Which is the best landline number to ring and then which options to select? I spent about an hour on the phone to them yesterday and after saying I might have to cancel etc etc, all I was offered was £31.60 a month instead of £39.50 for the Sports package. Surely they can offer better than this? I then hinted that I would switch my BB and phone to Sky, but even then the offer they made me is no better than the one on the website. In fact, I think it's worse! I obviously haven't got the gift of the gab. What should I say and aim for?
Thanks in advance.0 -
I have Virgin TV XL pack (without phone) for £25.50. I can get the 5 packs I use from Sky for £20.50. Virgin seem happy to let me go so I have given 30 days notice. I need AOL so cannot go for Virgin's broadband package.
I do not want to go to Sky as getting the cable into the house would be a problem and Sky will not use the existing cable.
What are the chances of me getting Virgin down from the £25.50?
Thanks0 -
Hi,
I have been with Virgin Media for 2 years next month.
I have been paying around £30 since joining each month.
Package - M Broadband
L TV
Normal Line rental that comes with the package, free weekend calls.
Any tips on how to get XL tv out of them ? I was thinking of saying sky were offering me a better package but they would probably know because of my phone line id have to pay for a bt line change before i could get sky broadband.
Ideas pleasex

I've been a sky customer for years, on the £22 a month package, everything but sports and movies. I'm real;ly confused by all the different stuff offered now.
I would quite like sky+ and also multiroom - anyone know any offers for both these, or just multiroom please ?well isn't that the pickle on the giant crap sandwich that is my day...0
