Just phoned sky to cancel I said cant afford £40 a month, and wanted free sat, the lady offered me sky hd box and installation for £59 and 12 months free line rental. I said no because I would have to pay extra £10 a month for hd mix, so went ahead and cancelled I got 30 days to change my mind, hoping they will phone me with a better deal! will let you know if they do!0

Having just spent 20 mins. on phone to cancellations at Sky, have finally agreed to a free visit from an engineer to sort out the freezing probs we've got.
Couldnt get a new set-up with sky+ for less than £30 and free instal. but keep paying £40/month for sports and all mixes, tied for 12 months!
Once the system is fixed, I intend to reduce to 3 mixes for a while and then try again for a free upgrade to sky+.
So far so good, but will keep tryingLife in the old dog yet?:hello:

have a quick look at my post of 20/10- you have to be firm and actually get put through to cancellations, as they are only ones that can offer the good deals. Use the landline number too, not the 0844 one as its cheaper when you have to be prepared to hang on for about 20 mins!
good luck0 -

If you've only been with sky for 7 months, aren't you tied for the next 5 months as part of the initial deal? That may be why they aren't offering any thing new.
Try cancellations anyway, you've nothing to lose.
Good luck!Life in the old dog yet?:hello:
