i went for the 3 for £30 deal than got them to reduce the phone line to medium and upgrade the tv package to xl, also got them to give me the broadband to xl as well which is also being upgraded next month to 10mb for free. try and see if you can get that or the same. my friend got one better and get 6months free sky movies but without the broadband upgrade.

The £30 bundle is M to start with? The XL broadband is 20mb, the L is currently 4mb being upgraded to 10mb?

I too got leafleted today offering a free sky + box plus save £10 on installation - now only £50 ! (offer ends 12 june 2008) perhaps I'm being cynical but its arrival coincided with an e mailed complaint to MYSKY customer relations and part of the reply content which I quote "Our agreement with you is to provide viewing services of your chosen viewing option and this we have done. Sky does make available promotional offers to new and past customers. However, long-standing active customers are also invited to upgrade their viewing option from time to time in response to promotional marketing mailings, which are issued. We do not consider our policy to be unusual in comparison to many major service providers, our aim is not only to provide excellent viewing services to our customers, but also to ensure that new business continues to be improved.

I can advise that marketing projects are on going and involve several different promotional offers. These projects cover a wide range of area codes, therefore, you may possibly receive a promotional offer at a future date."

I dont think I will be taking them up on their 'generous offer' and I certainly wont be wasting any more of my time talking to their 'retentions' a.k.a 'feeble excuses' dept

Got sky+ as a new subscriber for free with only the £30 install cost? (seems like loads of vouchers for "recommend a friend" have gone out and can get the Sky+ box gratis....

Tried to knock down the £30 install, but as I was only requesting a fairly basic package I did not have much hope....still a great deal...

i just rang them as my bill today was 48!!!! for xl broadband, all tv apart from sports and movies, and free day plan calls. well he brought it down to 35(with caller display, then whenm i said still to pricey he took away the excess tv, as we only watch disney for kids anyway. so now what i have is day plan calls still but with 25% off mobile calls, same broadband(XL) and free tv basic freeview channels really and caller display for the grand price of £20.70 a month! been meaning to do it for weeks!!!

I renewed with virgin retaining the old 3 for £30, XL tv, M broadband (unlimited downloads), and L phone.

Much better than any other deal I found as there was no need for a BT land line.

Also at the moment if you recommend a friend you both have £50 credited to your account. (Feel free to use me as your friend ).
