Try this.
Call NTL and say that you are thinking of changing your phone supplier-but would consider staying aith NTL if they were to offer you a 'low user' discount (basically knock £5 off your existing monthly line rental)0 -

hi. Do/did all you people who got Sky+ have at least one premium package? I'm on the basic family package at £21/m and would like sky+ without the extra premium channel cost.0

i have sky sports world which is classed as 2 premium channels at £36 a month
So yes. Dont know anyone who has it without 2 premium channels as you have to pay £10 on top if you dont.

OK, to answer my own question. Just rang Sky (6pm). 20ish minutes on hold, thru to off-shore, then transfered to cancellations.
Told the nice girl that I was annoyed at collegues etc being offered this and that, etc. She offered me Sky+ for £49 and half price line rental (i'm currently on the £21 family package) for 6 months.
I told her I wasn't interested in paying over £21 for TV (which i'm not...I still think that is a rip off..but the wife likes her Sky one), so she put me on hold for a couple of mins whilst she spoke to her manager.
Came back and offered 12months half price. Which kind of brings me up to what I'm currently paying but I'm getting sky + which is really what I was after anyway.
I did ask if I could drop the package size or the sky+ charge but she was having none of it.
Delivery next wednesday too....or March for a weekend call!!!0 -
Im with Telewest/blueyonder & currently pay 15.50 for the supreme package(soon to go upto 17.50), & 25.00 for broadband. Ive just phoned them, telling them im looking at different products to save money, ie sky, preview, wandadoo ect, & before I take any of their offers up, was just checking to see if they could offer me a better deal, seeing that ive been a loyal customer for nearly 10 yrs. Theyve offered to reduce broadband to 17.99, & for the next 4 mths, 1/2 price supreme pkage.0

was your broadband 512 recently upgraded to 2meg , only been paying 17.99 since i downgraded to 256 2 years ago, they then upgraded it to 512 at no charge and recently upped it again to 2 meg , must be easier to have all the base packages on same speed0 -
No, ive boardband elite, upto 4Mb speed, which i am now getting for 17.99. If they didnt offer me any discount i was going to ask to be down graded to 2Mb, seeing that ive only recently been upgraded from that, & wouldnt have known the difference anyway.0

Have a look at https://www.satalogue.com/section1/page2.htm where they have a 200 free English satellite channels and radio stations for use in the UK box for £99 + fitting.
It is also worth having a look around their other pages at the alternatives they have including football packages.
Indications for installation prices are linked at the bottom of the pages to https://www.ukapsi.com0
