So that makes it all OK then??

Look, it is fairly obvious that nobody is interested in your illegal schemes on here, so why not just let it drop.

Daughters just cancelled her bb because shes moving student houses on 30th June. She asked if they could send her a conformation email to say it was being disconnected on 29th June. They said no they could not do this but will send a final bill but that comes 2 weeks after its been disconnected. She really wanted to know how much it would be now as its a student house and when she leaves she wont see the others to get thier share of the payment but doesnt seem theres much they can do about that.

How can she get them to confirm by email that ts being disconnected on 29th it doesnt seem much to ask

They told her to keep the modem in case she ever wants to go back onto the service.

I'm just worried as I've heard a few people having problems with accounts not being disconnected and problems with payments afterwards
    Thanx

I visited sky counter in a shopping center two weeks back and was offered refurbed sky+ box for £49 or new box for £159 but I would have had to pay £10 per month for sky+. Called him again yesterday same deal offered but without £10 per month.

Decided to take the plunge with refurbished box for £49. Engineer coming on Sunday. :j

    Regards,
    Dan

PS: I called sky on 0870 number before calling that guy and they were only offering a new box for new customers for £159.

I was due to get a refurbished Sky+ box on sunday but got the new PACE box of 80 GB capacity. The engineer said he had no refurbished boxes so gave me a new one. I am a happy bunny.:j

    Thanks to this forum.

    Cheers

I have been a sky subscriber for about 8 years and wonder what other alternatives there are these days.

I currently subscribe to the full package (£43.50 p.m.).

Can anyone explain to me what's out there i.e. virgin media, bt vision etc (BTW I don't get cable in my area) and how they compare in comparison to sky.

    Thanks
  • hi all, for those of you looking for better deals on sky hd, I spoke to two sky reps while shopping in guildford and camberley on saturday. Asked what the HD deals were. Both said if you are current customer and you take hd and multi room you get the box for £249, free install and you can take small value packages down to the £18 one (2 choices), so no need to go for the full price packages. I also got the impression if I had said I would take all channels (sport/ movies) he may have given a cheaper deal on the box. Both also confirmed that I would have sky plus free on both boxes so no £10charge for that. I still think I will wait for the boxes to drop in price. Hope this helps someone, happy hunting.

Is it true Sky are scrapping their £10 charge for the recording capabilities of Sky + from July sometime?

I currently have 2 SKy + packages , and am on the full package as it works out cheaper that way!!

ANyone on here from Sky be able to tell me what is the least I can hope to pay from then?

    Many Thanks

yes they are scrapping the £10 a month sky + charge from 1 July. You will be able to receive sky+ free from that date with just the 2 mix package (£15). although it sounds like you have multiroom? if so cheapest will be £25 (extra £10 for multiroom)

hope this helps (i don't work for sky though!!)

if your on the "full package" - thats Sky world. You pay £53.50 per month i assume? basicly it will be no change for us ( i have same package but i have HD in 1 room and sky+ in another) so i still pay £63.50 but you will still continue to pay £53.50 :)
