well i can't believe it......
i rang up to cancel and got offered absolutely !!!!!! all.......not happy
after all these stories of free sky+, no broadband connection fees.......the women i spoke to (agnes) was more than happy to cancel my account and was a miserable so and so
i've been a sky customer for about 15 years and have a premium package (sports world @£37) and bought prem plus last year. all she offered was a lesser package or a temporary package for £2.50/month until football season starts again.
i'm starting to think what i said about kerry being a mole might just be right......i bet they were laughing at me saying i wanted to cancel
well cancel i did..........just hope i get an offer soon before it runs out...

I believe you have done right to cancel keep it down for a mth get it back do the same again. You won't miss it so bad and won't get the shakes so much. Lol but you will start to save money and Sky will mess up along the line they usely do. Then you get a few free months.The measure of love is love without measure0

Well i am getting nowhere fast with our friends at sky. I'm after a sky+ box with a better memory capacity than the one I currently have had for the last 2 years and which causes me no end of problems with signal, sound cutting out on recorded programmes etc. Regardless of the problems I just want more memory more than anything because the current one is pants.
Called the 01506 number and asked what they could offer me for the upgraded box and to add movies (i am currently on sports mix @ £37) only to be told there are no offers on my acct and basically would have to pay £43.50 to add movies and £159 for new sky+ box. They would not budge at all. Also dont you find that when you call them the advisors you get through to dont even try to help you and it seems like such a burden for them to do so. I also asked for Kerry M's help and seem to think that they know this as well.
Asked to be put through to disconnections because I was not happy and was then put on hold for 10 minutes only to be told that I had to get my husband the account holder to call in if it was to cancel even though I have full authorisation an the account they still need to speak to him.
He has been trying to call them since Tuesday when he gets in from work only to keep being told their systems are down
Needless to say Im at the end of my tether with them now

I always find it better to leave sky and get them to call you, you are always in charge then. This time it took around a month for them to ring me, last time it was only a few days and I turned them down the first time and they rang back with a better offer a week later.
You will appreciate sky more after you have been without it for a while and if you don't miss it..... even bettersave even more money.
BTW I asked Kerry for help as well and it didn't seem to affect them ringing me ......... so if she was a mole (which I doubt) they are not taking any notice of it.
Firstly I think sky don't really care about a bunch of hard nosed moneysavers enough to send someone to find out who they are. Second I think she was genuine, but completely overwhelmed and I don't blame her tbh. Maybe someone at sky found out what she was doing..... When they install the Sky+ box do they take your old one away, or is it yours?
Just wondered as would it then be possible to split the signal and feed the "old" box and the Sky+ as well, giving availability in another room. Not multiroom I know and totally dependant on what the Sky+ viewer was doing but just a thought.
And with the dropping of the £10 a month charge for Sky+ plus would be a nice thing to achieveWe all evolve - get on with it0 -
i'm certain they must log the offers you've had previously and calls you've made.
i think that's about the 4th time i phoned up to cancel (probably in the last 2 years) so i guess they know this and know i'm just trying to call their bluff.
damn there must be some way round this
any others who have called a number of times before finding this?
