Unfortunately, for us they did not offer any incentive to stay and were happy to accept the cancellation (we have been customers for over 6 years!!)
We have had no letters or phone calls asking us back as yet - i wish they would.
Same situation here,we have been with them for over 14 years now, always on,a top package, loyalty and long term means nothing to them.0 -
I just rang Sky up to get some prices and they said for Sky + which is what we are after it would be £99 for the Sky + Box but no installation - as its Christmas so a Christmas present of no installation charge! They also said that it is £10 per month for the recording facility part of Sky + but this is waivered if we took out either a Sky Movies or Sport package - which we dont really want as it shoves the price right up.
Anyway thanks to those who PMd me and Ive replied to themWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
I just rang Sky about some prices for Sky+ and they told me that the cost of the new box/dish is £49 and installation is £60 (total £109). They said that there are no other offers on and this was the cheapest.
I've ordered Sky+ and it's being installed on Friday, just in time for Chiristmas!0 -
Hi
It would appear as previously stated in the thread Sky just aren't playing ball at the moment. I have had Sky+ wiyh full packages for just over two years. But Sky+ has been on the blink for some time.
They wanted to charge me £65 for an engineer which In think is out of order seeing as how you have to have this equipment to use the service that you are paying about £500 per year for.
I tried my best haggling, told them I would cancel etc (and was very polite abou it too). I'm now left with a sky box that doesn't work as it should and the basic channels. (Although on the brighter side I am payinfg about £24 less a month now).
Anyway, to get to the point, does any one have a customer service name and address I can write to to vent my frustration please ? Also, would it be worth waiting a while to see if they offer me any deals ?
Any help or advice greatfully recived
Thank You....0 -
Phoned Sky on the freephone number and they offered to downgrade my package but wouldn't offer anything else apart from their broadband and telephone services. Hubby wont be impressed.0

my wife has just phoned sky enquiring about the cost of upgrading to sky plus. she was told £99 and £60 installation fee, she said we were prepared to leave for telewets's version, and are not interested in multi room, to which she was told thats the price, and she would be transfered to cancellations. at this point my wife bailed saying she would talk to her husband before deciding what to do......
so i was going to ring and just confess i know several friends who have got it for 49 quid and nowt for installation... good idea?0 -

Which freephone number, the number which someone put here earlier does not get me through.
Hubby tried calling them on their number and after being on hold for 10 mins he hung up.

Hi Janner Boy, the Sky number I called yesterday was 08701 942098. They offered me Sky+ for £49 with £60 installation and this is what I booked ...... it's being installed on Friday just in time for Christmas.
Sky tried to sell me multiroom but I declined and they confirmed that my monthly subscription won't increase because of Sky+ because we already have the movies/sports channels.0 -

You need to speak to 'cancellations' (aka turnaround) as they are the only people with the authority to offer you a discount. Try ringing on a Monday or Tuesday and say that you want to cancel. You can always change your mind during the conversation.0
