was told a couple of days ago that all incentives like 3 months half price etc have been pulled a few weeks ago
I reckon that they will reappear in Jan
My brother in law and father in law have sky but based on my satisfaction are looking to upgrade to sky plus- anyone know if I can claim any recommendation gifts if they do?You know what... you can't beat a good bargain!!!0 -
Can anyone who knows anything about Sky help me please?!
We are looking at getting Sky as we cant get freeview in our area yet. We have seen all the different bits and are getting quite utterly confused! We have seen the Sky + boxes and think thats what we would be after so we can record onto it and can also pause and rewind live TV. What is the cheapest way of getting this and the cheapest price for a years viewing including the initial set up etc?
We have seen the box installation at £99. The £10 credit for applying on line. But when it comes to the packages and prices we are utterly confused! We saw that we could just have the box and all the free channels for £10 per month, but if you subscribe to 2 mixes for £15 per month - do you still have to pay the £10 per month for the Sky + box as put it into the virutal shopping basket and it said that we would have to pay £25 per month?! We certianly wouldnt want to pay that much per month!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
Helen,
I have sent you a PM, please read by end of tomorrow0 -
Could anyone tell me how to get Sky+ for £49 please. Does anyone have the details of the flyer which dean mentioned above? I haven't been sent one.
I'm desparate to upgrade to Sky+ but can't afford to pay their standard £99 for the box and £49 for installation.
I would be grateful for any advice or help.0 -

Got a phone call from Sky this afternoon offering an upgrade.
I was on family package costing 21 a month plus a tenner for sky plus
New deal all sports and movies including Disney etc 32 and a bit quid for three months. Can cancel after 30 days.
I did say I was looking to reduce my package due to lack of cash for Christmas and he said all deals had been pulled and this is the best he could offer.
So previously 31 now just over 32 full package. Not bad0 -
Had a letter offering me half price movies for threee months, but rang today and managed to get upgrade to sports and movies for 3 months for £32. As I was already paying £25, am quite happy to pay £7 extra for 3 months to get movies etc over Christmas0

I have sky world just now just a standard sky box, my 12 month contract ends next month - Is there any offers I can get a cheap Sky HD subsciption - no multiroom - unless sky are going to give me a free tv to watch it on ;-)0

I have just come to the end of 6 months for half price (it was too good to resist so I came back to $ky whilst the Rugby League season was in full swing). Called to cancel and first they offered to get rid of sports as the only sport I follow is in the off-season. Then when I remained adamant about cancelling he offered me all the family channels for £15/month. I was still wanting to cancel - he just kept going on about what "variety" they have rather than offering any other discounts. I get switched off 14th Jan. Can't wait to get back to Freeview!
Just before I cancelled I had the mailshot about $ky+ for £49 but it was £60 fitting and meant a new 12 month contract, so no chance! There was no offer code, it just said to call 08701 942 098. They probably have records of everyone they sent the offer to but it's worth a blag!0 -
Regarding cancelling sky and using the box as freeview - anyone know whether my skyplus and multiroom will still work? I guess all the software is built into the boxes?? I just would no longer receive updates?
Who knows - not me - all I know is that 46pounds per month is expensive!Play up Pompey!0 -
