[QUOTE=NiftyDigits: Even the ASDA at £200 will cover those simple needs.
No need to cough up for a 'gaming' machine if on a tight budget.[/QUOTE]
I would prefer a better laptop though and think the ACER you recommended is a steal.
Think i've made my mind up to be honest, but just wanted to know whether this laptop would stream the football etc any better?0 -

If you are not happy, you can always send it back. Internet bandwidth is often the bottleneck when it comes to streaming.
No reason as to why the ACER should perform poorly in this instance.
People also overclock them for their gaming needs.0 -

Hi,
I am also after a laptop for between 250-320.
I will be using it for Emailing, Downloading music, films, watching those films, playing Football Manager(no other games) and building a few websites(front-end development so just html, css, jquery)
I have kept my eye on this thread, and i am looking at either of these 3 but not sure if either fit my needs:

Thanks,
If you were really interested in the Toshiba, it would be better to purchase this one and to spend £15 for a 4GB RAM module to it up to 6GB RAM for £265 in total.
But it's not the machine for games.0 -
