Phew lot of posts to take in and I have read so much now my head is spinning even more lol. Basically its time for an upgrade I have nursed my equium along for a couple of years now but its underpowered, underspec, undersize (HDD) no battery life and needs to be upgraded.
Even with all those problems it has been super reliable and even now its dying it still fires up and even when your legs are on fire it still runs lol.
Anyway have around the £350 mark to spend (give or take £50ish). I use my laptop for obvious stuff like itunes, surfing the web email, streaming iplayer etc but also need something that is capable of running adobe lightroom, photoshop, illustrator, bridge and corel draw. With some of those programs running together ideally without a 30 min lag like I get now just running corel draw lol.
Not really looking at anything other than new, but would consider a refurb if the price difference from new was significant enough to justify it.
I came across this Tosh http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Toshiba_Satellite_Pro_C660-2DN_1177864.html
but also liked the look of the spec on this fujistu http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Laptops/buy-FUJITSU-LIFEBOOK-AH531-Laptop/211847
any other suggestions on better spec for the same money or less much appreciated.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

Prefer an Intel Core ix but it's still a very good deal.0 -

it is a good deal, 6gb of RAM and a 1TB drive along with decent graphics makes it ok for that sort of money. TBH think im going to look for a toshiba though after reading all the bad reviews of HP of late.
