The poster admits to having some 'problems', so perhaps we can go a bit easier.
I have found and refreshed their previous thread, so perhaps we can try again to troubleshoot their problem....if they are willing to stick with it.

I have been reading the last few threads with interest as my son is currently looking for a laptop. He wants it for some gaming, skype grandparents, photos etc and hopefully some homework! Took some advise from a friend who has recommended Fujitsu Lifebook AH531 2nd gen i3 windows available on BHS direct £393 and 2.2% off with Topcash.

I would appreciate some second /third etc opinions if I can get similar machine cheaper it would be a bonus!!

    Thanks for looking

Too expensive. Have seen this model up to £50 cheaper recently.

Just to add a bit of advice to muddy the waters. I've recently purchased a Belkin WiDi for wireless streaming to our tv. It works brilliantly, after a bit of setting up, but I noticed that they say it will only work smoothly with i5 and above processors, so if anyone is looking at upgrading then the i5 & i7 route seems to be the best bet at the moment should you be looking at streaming.

Our nearest stores that sell laptops are Comet, Curry`s/PC World and an Argos, looking at the Asus they have for sale, which would you choose, bearing in mind we have a budget of @ £450 max ?
